Amirah timorously entered into Amin's room and sat at the edge of his bed. The sound of water dripping in the bathroom tells that he's in the bathroom.
Why will she even come to his room?
Her problem is her problem not his. She'd been feeling awful, she wanted to tell him she couldn't sleep last night because of her headache. It wasn't that much as it use to be, but she dread the possibility if it escalating.
It's been the worst pain of her life, catastrophically sending her in remoteness with her senses, leaving a fragment of unconscious piece on the floor.
Amin's phone rang beside her. She peered at the screen cautiously, 'Sarah' showed visibly on the screen.
Yesterday was Aaliyah and today Sarah, she thought. Why will they keep calling him? Did they not really know that he's married? She speculated, measuring exactly where the fault is coming from. It might be her fault after all, so she has no right to turn it all on him, because she has her own share exteriorly.
Turning her face towards the bathroom, she beheld him coming out of the bathroom with only his towel wrung around his waist. His features were striking as his eyes looked brightly and eloquent which attracted her, making her ogle at him inconspicuously. His hair was shimmering damply.
"Amirah what's going on?" He asked, wiping his body with a small towel he held.
"Nothing really," she got up and was about to leave when he stopped her.
"Are you sure you're okay?"
She sighed. Her unoriented demeanor got enveloped in the lingering feelings of the obscured jealousness that spiked on her. She really wanted to leave without telling him what brought her to his room.
Owing to the fact that it isn't imperative for her to feel that way, or rather, to act because his girl friends kept calling him, she awakened to her intellect and ward off what she felt in her heart and delivered the unessential message to him.
"Sarah had been calling."
What on earth is she even thinking of? Is that important? After all is his phone and he will see the missed calls.
She turned to leave.
"Amirah!" Amin called assuasively.
She stopped and turned to him.
"They are nothing to me you know. They can never take your place in my heart."
"Sure?" She facetiously said, allowing a neglected smile to drop on her face.
She then scurried out of the room quietly before she blurted something that will chain her heart forever.
Amirah went back to her room and squiggled herself on her bed reflectively. She engulfed herself into the quietness of the room as she reflected deeply.
The sun was just rising, perkily brisking up the surrounding as it shone with mellow brightness.
She huffed, imbibing in carelessly the stuffy air swirling around her. She'd condescended to make things work out between them though she don't know where to start. The mind cannot always be forced to make decision against it will. She had wanted to make peace and sweep away the mess she'd created between them pretty sure of her efficacy, but her first move had failed.
Her thought flew back to what she'd done to him in the past few days. He obviously seemed not to border about it even as she, the faulter is here being indecisive. She quite deplored her vicious and spurious act which casually resulted from blundering in stupidity.
