The moon enfolded the darkness as a glint of light streamed through the universe.
A cold breeze, as delicate as silk caresses her skin as it howls around with sensational music into her ears. The fragility of the ambiance collided with her frail heart, making her sot into the sensation whirling around her.
Everywhere looked radiant and colourful as the bright moon smiles among the clusters of stars.
Amirah gazed around wistfully, an evident smile brightened her face as she speculated tentatively. What a new life she'd found her self into. She could not stop wondering the kind of story muzzled within the close door of her heart as she witness this tremulous change of event in her life. How could she move on in a marital life-- a life difference from the one she's use to.
She thought of her husband, his peering looks and the story from his gaping heart. She pray he shouldn't fall for her, for she might end up hurting him even as he looks innocent. She pitied the poor guy, to get entangle into the web of an unrequited love.
She was harrowing incessantly as a new concept of compassion opened a door in her heart. She doesn't like hurting people but she's sure she will hurt him. It isn't her fault and certainly isn't his too. She'll make sure she isn't being rude to him even if she virtually believes she could not love him. She'll practically be a kind and gentle wife to him, but one thing she sure will not forget is to let the door of her heart open.
What if you end up falling for him.
The other side of her mind echoed to her.
No, that can't happen. Love doesn't really exist any longer, it's a fake version from the shadow of true love that once existed among the people of truth, is what people are now smearing on their heart which they call love.
Her phone rang, startling her to awareness. She spontaneously picked it. "Hello Hannah!"
"Hope I'm not disrupting?"
"Crazy witch. Why did you call if you know you'll disrupt." Amirah chided.
"Hey I miss you terribly."
"Me too!"
"Should I come and visit you?"
"Of course you don't need to ask, you will make my day by visiting me."
It's been a week since she'd come to barley lane and no chick among her friends care to give a peek at her to see how she's fairing, not even her brother, kabir that promised to come back and check on her.
"Okay Insha Allah I will come tomorrow."
"Thanks sweet heart. I know you love me."
"of course. But hey! he loves you more. The one with the enthralling smile."
"You goose!"
"Bye!" Hannah dropped the call instinctively with a humorous laugh.
Amirah smiled delightfully. "She's so amusing."
She got up from the porch and lugged to the entrance. She pushed the half gaped door slightly and stepped into the house as the artificial sky peered at her and the forest wavers to her, giving her heart a fluttery feelings of delight.
Two glowy eyes welcomed her in, he was sitting on the couch with his eyes fixed at her.
She took a deep breath and released in a sigh.
Glimpsing at him, she walked slowly to the middle of the sitting room with light steps as if scared of streaking the floor.
She could feel the heaviness of his gaze on her. She wanted to talk to him or simply sit beside him, nonetheless, all she could do was to steer her motion faster.
