Amirah put the last touch to the cake and smiled satisfactorily. It's their tenth month anniversary, and she had planned a surprise dinner for Amin. She had spent the whole day in the kitchen making different varieties of meals.

She decked the table with flowers and candles, and arranged all the meals she'd made with the small cake she made, icing her name and his in the love sign at the centre.

She stood admiring her decoration, smiling and tapping her feet on the floor gently in satisfaction. Their lives had been nothing but blissfulness and profound love that always surrounded them. Amin's mission everyday wass to find out how he can please her more than yesterday. The way he cared about her sometimes surprises her. He will forever go with her suggestion even though it happens to be against his own wish, and he dread making her angry at all cost.

But then, in any journey, there will certainly be a bump and some slidings. To them, their worst threat is her sickness. Through the time, they'd been battling together, to conquer the sickness. Amin had even taken her to see many sheikhs for prayer and deliverance from evils. But again, the sickness is becoming worst with every prayer. She can now go into unconsciousness for a full day without eating or drinking, nor having anything to do with live activities. It doesn't just stop there, when she's alone, she'll be imagining things and seeing shadows of a kind, or hearing voices and sounds from the kitchen while she's the only one in the house. That was it for them!

After magrib prayer, Amin returned back to the house to meet his surprise dinner.

"What's special today?" Amin asked as she brought him to the decked table, smiling pleasantly and looking adorably at her like a child eyeing the last candy in a shop.

"You can't remember, oh," she waved her hand on air. "Is nothing special, is just that today is our tenth month anniversary, remember?"

"I know is not your birthday neither is mine, so I was wondering what the special occasion is." He pulled her to him and sheltered her under his chest, huddling his medley of affection together and passing it to her heart as their heartbeat coalesced into each other.

"Now come and eat and stop being handsy." She wiggled and patted his chest amusedly as his tactile sense romped, before pulling his hand to the table.

Amirah served him all the delicacies and made sure he tasted every bit of meal she had made, so that her swink will not be in vain. And Amin did complied and tasted all the meals relishingly to his palate.

"I got something for you," she got up and padded to the sitting room. After a short while, she returned with a wrapped gift and handed it to him, smiling leisurely.

Amin collected and thanked her, then unwrapped the gift anticipatorily. It was a gucci wrist watch with a tie and a fancy card attached to them.

Smilingly, he kept the gift and opened the card. The inscription inside was;

You're the first and you're the last, and you're the only one in my heart.
I used to think that nothing is as radiant as the petals of flowers, until I saw your face.
I used to believe no one can smile like the bright moon, until I got enthralled by your mesmerizing smiles.
Your smile alone can melt a thousand hearts.
You're rare and mellow like the winter breeze.
I will be like a rose to you, always spreading fragrance to your life.
                   A&A

Happy tenth month anniversary!

After Amin had finished reading the card, a dippy smile that could not leave his face proclaimed how happy he was and how the words on the card had affected his heart.
