Everyone at the lab was so nice to me, it was really surprising how more than half of them remembered me.
They told me that the test would be done in two weeks.

I drove to the jail Manny was being held at, I have to admit, I'm really nervous to see him, I've been shaking the whole ride to Iron Heights.

I got so deep into my thoughts that I almost crashed my car, but luckily I was able to dodge the other car.
"That was close" I sighed, I looked to my right and noticed that I had passed the prison.
I let out a deep groan and mentally face palmed myself, I'm so stupid.

I finally arrived to the prison, my palms were starting to get sweaty as well as my forehead, my knees became weak and my heart was beating rapidly.
I was quickly received by the staff, the receptionist told me that I couldn't talk to him right now because someone else was talking to him at the moment, but she said that the person would be out in any minute.
I patiently waited for the mystery person to get out of there so I could go and talk to Manuel.
My patience started to fade away, aren't visitors only allowed to talk to the inmates for a certain amount of time?
I checked my phone and realized that only two minutes have passed, I lightly chuckled at my paranoid self, I won't deny I'm still impatient though.
The receptionist told me that I could now go in, I thanked her as she told me where to go.
As I headed to the visiting room, I heard an argument coming from the room.
"I won't do that! Are you crazy?!" A really familiar voice said.
"Look kid, I'm YOUR father and you'll do whatever the hell I tell you to, so stop fighting back or you'll have to find out what I'll do to you once I get the chance to be alone with you, understood?!"
Woah, that was... strict.
"Yes, dad"
"What did you call me?" The deep voice asked slowly.
"I-I mean yes sir"
"Get him out" the man said, once I heard the door opening, I immediately looked away, I covered my face with my jacket and peeked from the corner of my eye, it was Shawn. he didn't recognize me though, you could see him trying to figure out if he had seen that person somewhere.
Turns out he wasn't able to, what a shame.
"Come in" a manly voice said, I turned around and walked towards the door, I thanked the officer and took a seat.
"Well hello there young lady, I wasn't expecting you to be here today" Manuel said trough the phone.
"I'm actually here to discuss something important with you" my voice was firm and confident, I didn't think it would be this easy talking to him, not after all the pain he's put me through.
"Oh, what's the matter... Sarah?" I wasn't surprised when he said my name, he has said it before, besides, he was my parents' enemy, what could you expect.
