We all took a seat on the couch, Grayson and I were on one side of the couch, and E and Shawn were on the other one, causing a gap between the four of us.
"So.." I started, he cleared his throat and took a deep sigh.
"I know everything that happened between my dad and your parents, and I just wanted to apologize for that, and also for convincing Ethan into taking all of this to court, I-I didn't know" I saw the sympathy in his eyes, but there's something in his voice that makes me doubt.
"It's okay, it's not your fault anyway, I-" I got interrupted by an upcoming call on Shawn's phone.
"Excuse me" He stood up and walked to the kitchen. "Hello?"
The twins and I stayed on the couch, Grayson seemed really tense, I asked him if he was fine and he nodded.
"I need to use the restroom, be right back" he said, as soon as he was gone, Ethan turned his head back to me.
"So, what was the thing that you wanted to talk about?" Ethan asked.
"Oh, well, when I went to the prison to you know, talk to Manuel, I found out that I- uhm" I had to clear my throats a few times for this. "I found out that I had an older brother, who was apparently never born.."
"Wait what?" "Yeah.." "oh my gosh Sarah, I'm so sorry" he engulfed me into a hug.
"We can talk about this with Gray once Shawn leaves, okay?" I nodded.
"Hey guys, sorry about that" Shawn said with a really shy smile. "So Sarah, are we friends?" "Of course Shawn!" He smiled widely and pulled me into a hug.
"Get off her Mendes, I know what you're up to, and I'm not letting you use her like that!" Grayson said storming into the room.
"Use me? What are you talking about? Shawn?" I let go of Shawn and turned my head to Grayson.
"I heard him talking on the phone with his dad, he's using you to get information out of you so he can give it to his dad!" I was so confused and sad at the same time.
"Shawn, is that true..?" I said in a low voice.
"W-what?! N-no, of course not! I want to try to be friends with you, I bet he's just jealous" He snapped.
"Gray.." "Sarah, I'm telling you the truth! I would never lie to you! You know that! We're best friends.."
"Look, I'll show you my most recent call" he showed me his phone, the contact read 'Aaliyah' and it had the picture of a really beautiful young girl who looked a lot like him, I'm pretty sure she's his sister.
"What?! He changed the contact name! Sarah! You have to believe me!"
"Gray, just stop, you're acting really childish right now" I said, he looked at me with soft eyes.
"You don't believe me..?" I sighed. "Gray, I love you, but there's no way Shawn was talking to his dad, it's pretty clear to me that he wants to.. make it up to me"
"Fine, just don't come to me crying when he breaks your heart, and also, good luck with the court, there's no way I'm helping you, since all I do is lie to you" tears started building in my eyes.
"Gray.." I choked on my own words when I said that.
"Goodbye Sarah" he took his phone and went back upstairs.
"Gray! No! Come back!" I was about to run after him but Ethan held me back.
"Ethan! Please! Let me go! Please..."
I said with a weak voice.
"I'm sorry Sarah, you should just give him some space for now" he said sadly.
"No Ethan! He's my best friend! I can't lose him" I whispered the last sentence before breaking down, Ethan held me in his arms as I cried on his chest.
"I need him E" "I know you do, I'm so sorry" I cried so hard that my head started aching. Grayson is the most important person in my life, even if he was acting childish, he had no reason to be jealous.
"I- oh my, I'm so sorry Sarah" Shawn said, I couldn't talk at the moment, E thanked him and told him he had nothing to be sorry about.
Shawn said he had to leave, I hugged him and walked him to the door.
"Be safe" I sadly said. "I mean, I'll try" I gave him a thumbs up and waved, I know he tried to make me smile, but nothing can make me smile right now.
He started the engine and left, I went back inside, dragging my feet.
"Let's take you to my room, I don't think you should be alone right now"
I grabbed my phone and dragged myself upstairs, I stopped on Grayson's door, hoping he would be in there waiting for me to get in.
"Let's go" Ethan said taking my hand through the corridor to his room.
"Get some rest Sarah, I promise everything will get better soon" "how much time until soon comes?" "Well, I can't tell you that because I don't know, but I know this won't last long" I nodded.
I hope he's right.
I closed my eyes, pretending to be asleep, E walked out of the room and closed the door.
I heard him knock on another door. "Gray?" He said softly, the door opened.
I immediately got up not doing any noise at all and pressed my head to the door.
"What do you want" he snapped at him, well someone's moody.
"I would like to talk to you" "there's nothing to talk about, get away from me.." I heard my best friend's voice crack, my heart started aching when I heard the pain in his voice.
Why am I so stupid, I was really insensitive with my words.
"Gray, you need to talk to someone, I'm your twin brother, you know you can tell me anything"
"I-I don't know what to say, I don't know if I overreacted, I heard her calling my name and crying downstairs, and I feel really guilty, I peeked from the stairs and saw her red face"
"She's my best friend, and she's crying because of me.." he started choking on his words.
"I'm so dumb Ethan!" He yelled, Ethan shushed him and told him I was asleep in his room.
"Oh" they kept talking about the whole situation, I was really tired so I finally decided to go to bed, I wasn't really paying attention anymore, no matter how hard I tried.
It didn't even take me a second to fall asleep, Ethan was right, I did need some sleep.

A really familiar sent came in my nostrils, I opened my eyes a little bit and found a sleeping Grayson hugging me, I smiled to myself and cuddled onto his chest.
I closed my eyes once more, I was about to fall asleep, but a thought crossed my mind.
School starts tomorrow.
I went back to my peaceful slumber, trying to ignore the fact that I have to go back there tomorrow.
I'm sure that after today Grayson is going to avoid me, so I'm gonna enjoy this as much as I can.
