I got carried to the car, I had no clue of what was going on.
"Mommy, where are we going?"
"Somewhere safe sweetie"
Even though I was young, I knew that we weren't safe, I knew that I wasn't safe.
My dad drove at the highest speed, I looked back and I saw a car following us
"Daddy, who is in that car?"
"Nobody who you should worry about hunny, we're gonna be fine"
I always trusted my dad's words, he was always right, but little did he know, this time he wasn't.
We kept driving for what seemed ten hours, but it was only three minutes.
I was slowly falling asleep, just as my eyes were about to shut close, I heard a loud bang.
"Christopher they're shooting!"
"Get Sarah! We reached a wall!"
My mom jumped to the backseat next to me
"It's gonna be fine baby.."
Two seconds later, there was another bang, but this time it broke a window
"Mommy, I'm scared!"
"Calm down sweetie!, Christopher, how do we get her out?!"
"Put her under the seats!"
"Okay hunny, me and daddy are going out for a bit, I need you to stay under the seats right now"
"Okay"
"I love you, my baby Sarah"
She kissed my forehead, tears streaming down her face, I knew she was lying, they weren't going out for a bit, they were going out forever..
"I love you too mommy"
"Darling, please be safe while we're gone... I love you so much"
My dad always knew how to comfort me, I hugged him really tight, knowing this would be the last time
"We love you Sarah, and always remember, you're the strongest girl in the world, don't let anyone let you down"
"Lindsey, they're getting closer"
My mom just looked at me, so did my dad, they both left the car and I did as they told me.
"Well, well, well, isn't it the Levine family, where's baby Sarah?"
"That's non of your business" my dad said.
"Well mate, it kinda is.."
I couldn't hear the rest of the conversation, all I could hear were six loud bangs.
"Let's get out of here"
Before the men were able to run off, I took my IPod out and took a picture of two of their faces, they were blurry, but surely helpful.
Five minutes later I heard sirens coming my way.
"I think there's someone in the car"
A man said.
"Get them out!"
"Yes sir!"
A cop opened my car and saw me hiding under the seats.
"Hey little girl, I have to get you out of here and take you somewhere safe"
I just nodded and got out of the car, as I was walking with the officer I saw both of my parent's dead bodies laying on the ground, I didn't know what to do, I just stood there, looking at them.
The cops took me to a strange looking house, it was really big with huge patios, it looked scary though.
We entered the big house and walked to another room.
"Is this Sarah Levine?"
"She is sir"
"Well Sarah, welcome to your new home"
