Why me?

Happy Birthday

     It's been four days at the lake and my magic was getting in the way of having a good time, Hell I haven't even told him happy birthday, what a friend I am.  After what's happened I feel bad for putting him through it but I decided I'd make it up today.
     Teldryn's still asleep so I get up quietly and change into my light leather armor, making sure I have my hood before leaving and heading to town. Half way to town however, I realize I don't know what he would like so I try and brainstorm on the way hoping I would think of something. Once I'm at the market, I make sure my hood is securely up and I make my way to the merchants. I find a gold necklace with a ruby in the middle and a few things to eat since I'm to lazy to hunt. After that I go into the inn and immediately people look at the door like they normally do. I head down the stairs and ask the bar tender if he has any ember-brand wine and thankfully he does. Since they're only 15 septums, I pay for 4 bottles and put them in a bag I brought. I thank him and leave as I noticed people were starting to look at me yet again. You'd think I'd be used to it but I guess not since I left in a hurry even though I didn't need to. When I'm out of the inn, I see the sun coming up, I made it here at around 8:20 and I need to get back before Teldryn wakes up so once I'm out of the town, I bolt to the camp at the lake.
     I finally got there and he was still asleep, thank the gods I'm in shape or I wouldn't have gotten here in time I don't think. My panting calms down as I enter the tent and i let the fold of the tent fall closed yet again as I just stand there not knowing what to do. Teldryn is laying on top of his bedroll almost naked, thank the gods yet again for loin cloths. I realize what I can do and so I leave the tent quietly so I don't wake him and set up the 4 bottles with the food and putting out two tankards. Once it's all set I go back inside and take off my boots and gloves, also getting back into my plain clothes of just shorts and a tank from the old clothes I cut.
     I look over and notice I just changed in the same "room" as him twice now without even thinking if he woke up....great job me. I sit down next to him and smile, poking his cheek to wake him up, knowing it'll irritate him. His nose twitches and he groans as he wakes up. "Wake up sleepy head, I wanna show you something I found" I smile and keep poking. "L...if you keep waking me up like this, you'll regret it" he threatens but I only push on. I move on top of him, not caring that he's only wearing the lion cloth now and I sit on his stomach as I poke his face more. This gets a reaction out of him and I laugh to myself as he jumps a little, not expecting it and opening his eyes. "What're you doing L?" He asked tiredly, obviously not wanting to deal with my shit this early in the morning. I keep poking and lean down "you gotta wake uuuuppp, I wanna show you something ya butt" with a smile still on my face I stop poking to see if he'll do as I ask now or if I have to do more to him. He looks up at me fully with a smirk, oh gods, the last time he looked at me like that was by the water when I wouldn't give him his helmet. "And what is it you wanna show me" he sits up and his hands move to hold him up. "I-i...found something.... I th-thought you might wanna see.." I say quietly and look down at his chest so I don't make eye contact. "Well I guess I can get up...if you do something for me" he laughs quietly knowing I'm embarrassed as he moves his hands up to him thighs as he sits up fully. He moves closer to my ear and his breath sends shivers down my spine "hand me my pants" I blush hard as I remember he's naked and I'm now on his lap since he sat up. I nod quickly and get up fast out of embarrassment and throws his pants at him before running out of the tent. I hear him laughing to himself and I sit down on ground near the food so he can sit on the log when he comes out.
     He finally comes out in his pants but he didn't put on a shirt. Not that I'm complaining though, he looks really good especially at 19. He catches me starring and winks and I blush again. I wish he'd put that damn helmet back on sometimes. It's like he doesn't even care if he even goes naked around me.
     He looks around the fire seeing the wine and food I've set out nicely. I get up like nothing happened and I hug him tightly "happy birthday!!" I smile wide and I feel his arms wrap around my waist, hugging back. "What did you do L?" Smile smiles at me as I let go and pat the log for him to sit and he does " I went into town before you woke up and got a few things, which reminds me" I pause and look in my knapsack I had the necklace in and handed it to him "I didn't know if you'd like it but I tried, you can sell it if you don't like it" my smile never leaves as he takes it. "Why would I sell it? I like it a lot, thank you." He pulls me into his stomach teasing me since I'm shorter and I'm on the ground but for once I just let him but i still look up at him with the "really?" Look but with a smile. He lets go and I set back down in my spot as he puts on the necklace. I pick up some bread and a bottle of the wine for me and he does the same.
     We stay like this for awhile before he brought up a topic that he wouldn't drop. He was slightly drunk already since he had the other three bottles and half of mine. I'd make fun of him but that stuffs strong so I can't say anything and I just laugh. Thankfully though he wasn't a bad drunk, just talkative which was odd but that's alcohol for ya. "So you know what you forgot to tell me yesterday?" He smiles wide like he knew something and I look up at him "Umm...no?" I was immediately confused as he finishes off my other half of the last bottle "it was your birthday yesterday. You told me when we got here our birthdays are three days apart and we've been here four days so" he said happily. "Don't think about it and if you already have, all I wanted was swim and spend time with you" I say as he yawns and I smile "you should head to bed and I'll clean up out here". He smirked "I'm not going to bed till you come in with me and let me hold you so I can sleep, believe it or not you help me sleep doll so come on" I blush "I'll come in once I'm done out here birthday boy, now go and I'll be in when I'm done" I tease and he groans like the stubborn child he is and goes into the tent.
     When I'm finished cleaning, I walk into the tent to find him still shirtless and only in his pants like he was all day. "Is the baby ready to sleep?" I tease even more and laugh. He smirked and grabbed my hand, pulling me down on top of him. I blush not knowing what to do as he's already falling asleep. I rest my head in the crook of his neck and lay there quietly, listening to him breathing. When he's finally asleep, I kiss hisneck and drift into sleep myself after pulling a blanket onto us of course.
