The Suprise

That night i had a nightmare --

The woods around our house was burning to the ground because of ash spawn and everyone but me was asleep but wouldn't wake up. I tired and tried to wake them up but no one would move. The flames eventually got to the house and the ash spawn where inside by now as i locked myself in the room with Devin, hugging him, crying and screaming for him to wake up. Just then the ash spawn burned the door down

end of nightmare --

I woke up in a cold sweat, panting hard and tryin to catch my breath. I look around and notice everything is ok and that its 8 am already. I get up shakily and notice Devins already up and going sinse he isnt in bed.I walk to the dresser and put on my cloths after getting calmed down and able to quit shaking. Going out into the kitchen/ dining room, i get some cream treats and eat those for breakfast, not careing if it'll hurt my stomach and I wash it down with milk.

Father walks in and looks around for me, only to find he's walked right pased me." I guess im a natural at sneaking" i thought to myself and laughed quietly. Once he comes back out and sees me he stared at me for a bit "when did you get there? i was just in here...." "you walked right past me" i say with a smile "well sorry about that kiddo, anyway pack your stuff and come outside, and make sure to bring everything you want to keep." i look at his quizickly but head to my room and pack my things. when i come back out with 4 bags of my belongings, i head outside to the rest of my family.

"look who finaly decided to join us" Devin said sarcasticy and i smirked at him. "at least im here". " so today i said i would give you all a suprise and im a man of my word so we'll being heading that way now." "what is it?" i ask curiously "we're moving to a better house than the one we have now, you two will have your own rooms and we'll have a better kitchen and dining room but the rest of the house will be the same, plus its still in the woods so we ont have to worry about anyone bothering us.". i knew what he meant by "bothering us", its the reason why we live away from the citiy. Its because we are a mixed family, my mother is a nord and my father is a dark elf which means Devin and me half of each and if people ever found that out, people wouldn't leave us alone for it and we'd be targets for sure because of it.

As soon as mom heard this though she was shocked, she looked like I had just shocked her with a novice shock spell. Did I forget to mention that I was born with every spell know throughout Tamriel. Oops sorry for leaving that big detail out. "How did you even get that much money, gods know we're poor and cant afford that kind of house??" "Dear, relax, I've been doing side jobs long enough to pay for it" I for a fact knew that was a lie though, I always knew when dad or mom lied because I'm just good at reading certain things about someone I guess, but I kept quiet.

For the rest of the way there I toned out of the world and the talking around me. Instead I listened to the trees rustling and the ocean since we were close enough and looked at the grass and dirt beneath my feet. How the small and quiet crunching noised sounded like music to my ears. I loved the outdoors and it loved me it would seem. Then all at once it hit me, my nightmare. I froze and held back tears. Devin took notice and asked if I was ok but careful enough not to get mother and fathers attention. "let me carry some stuff" he took two of my bags and started walking again. I walked slowly behind and didn't look around much. I just wanted to get to the house now.
