Double update! I hope you enjoy!

Author POV

You decided to read some of the names on the plaque of memorabilia. They were a reminder that that life could be taken at any moment. The train crash from many years ago, over a couple decades. You hummed to yourself, a little somber as you read the names. Jungkook looked up and saw you going down them, then something clicked in his mind.

She's nearing that part of the alphabet.

He pulled you away as you looked at the train's memorial. However, he wasn't fast enough. The names on the plaques.

You froze.

A coincidence, right?

"Yeong (Y/N)," you said aloud. Your mind fell into deep chasms that hadn't been opened in more than a decade. Little things that always hinted but you never truly knew.

You fainted in Jungkook's arms. He told every worried soul that you had just had too many drinks, but he knew why. He knew what was happening. For years, he had been warned of it. For years, he had been cautious in what he told the little girl only a year younger than him. For years, he avoided talking about some things in childhood. Because it was different than what you thought.

When the train stopped for your guys' hotel, Jungkook got out. He couldn't call a cab, couldn't catch a bus. He decided to walk the 3 miles back to the hotel. He passed a park you guys used to play in, saw the playground. He smiled a little, relishing in the memories before he would take away the mirage.

"J-Jungkook...?"

He started when you woke up while he was walking on the pathway to the hotel. He put you down when you requested it and stared knowingly at you. He knew what was coming. The words he was going to have to say would change your life forever.

Your POV

"The park where we used to play," I comment, running my hand over a little seesaw. "I remember this."

"(Y/N), I know what you're going to ask. Just, please, ask it already."

I look back to Jungkook and I can see how much he's dreading it. The sad look in his eyes that show he will crumble and break at any moment if I don't speak first. The tight line of his lips as the bottom one is pulled under his teeth, the way his skin is pale in stress. I know the question too, it's on the tip of my tongue. I want to say it, but seeing him so near to tears is making me not want to. I need to know the truth, but it looks like the truth is going to hurt. The truth always hurts in the end, so I figured to finally get it out of the way.

"Jungkook, why was my name on there? I have a unique name and I know it. That's my name on a list of dead people. I'm not dead."

His eyes close and he looses a breath. "Do you remember why I call you Nugget?"

"I don't see how that's relevant right no--"

He looks me in the eyes, the brown hardened. "I asked if you remember why."

I thought for a moment. I looked at our surroundings as I did. Surely, I knew. When I had thought for longer than I knew it should take, the reality hit me. I couldn't remember.

I didn't know why he called me my precious nickname.

I looked back to Jungkook, dread growing in my soul. "No."

He took a shaky breath. "It's because, when we first met, I didn't know your name."

Shock hit me in the face so hard, I almost stumbled on air. "How could you not know my name? I'm your little sister."
