Here's the next part. Enjoy?
Your POV
Jimin stayed holding his plastic gun. "Come on, one more game?"
I put the gun down and look at Jimin. I'm about to say no because Jungkook only gave me limited funds that I had spent a lot of (for cigarettes, the bike, just being fake in general), but the face he gives makes me give in. I'd earned enough money with racing, right?
"Fine. But I'm beating you this time!" I lift the plastic gun as he swipes the card.
"Let's go!"
We fire at the targets together for the first time in a couple years. After the beginning of high school, all I could do was avoid him. I only came into the boxing studio when he couldn't talk to me, making up an excuse for my timing. My calls with Jungkook also got less frequent because of the time differences. I hated myself when I was happy that they got less frequent. There were just less lies I would have to tell.
I couldn't escape it now. Jungkook was coming home for a couple months. He would learn the truth. Jimin would too. I had to tell them before they found out in a different way.
The game ended because I forgot to keep shooting. I put the gun down and wait for Jimin to finish. I smiled and pointed things out to him while dread weighed on my heart. I had to tell him. I have to, even if it ruins the day.
He put his gun into the holster. "I thought you said you were going to beat me today."
"Jimin, I..."
Come on, (Y/N). Do it. Force the words out.
"Yeah?" He runs a hand through his hair without realizing it. "What's up?"
"I..."
You have to do it. Now!
"I forgot," I say, giving a big grin.
"You little...!"
I take off through the arcade before he can reach me. He follows closely behind. I whip around a machine to narrowly avoid him and run into someone.
"Ah, sorry."
I'm about to take off when he grabs my arm.
"(Y/N)? Is that you?"
No. Not him.
I grab his hand and quickly pull him into a photo booth and pretend to pose. I see Jimin look around for a moment, completely glossing over the booth. He takes off in a direction and I finally exhale.
"You look different without a scowl."
I turn back to Jin, pulling him back into the darker area of the arcade.
"Prettier. Much prettier with a smile."
"Didn't you get enough at school?" I growl. "Stop talking to me and learn the hierarchy already."
I'm about to walk away, but he grabs my arm. "I can see it in your eyes, you know. Everyone averts theirs, but you make sure they do that for a different reason besides fear, don't you?"
I rip my arm out of his grip. "Don't think you know me. Leave me alone."
I stalk away from him, looking for Jimin. I check my phone for the time, wondering when we need to head to the airport. I look up and collide right into Jimin, earning a yelp out of him. He grabs my shoulders as if to make sure I'm real.
"I've been looking everywhere for you!"
"I was hiding from you, duh."
He shakes his head and throws an arm over my shoulder. "Well, it's time to go to see Jungkook. His manager just texted me when I ran into you."
