Riley Hunter. Aged 26, skilled combatant.

Riley Hunter is an infamous mercenary, known for her stealthy tactics and fast footwork. Hunter is skilled with her knife and is an exceptional marksman. Not much is known about Hunter's past, except that she grew up in Edonia where the infection rate is the worst. Originally from the United States of America, she was abandoned in Edonia after her parents died where she had to fend for herself. She joined the mercenaries at the age of 12. She has no known family members.

The next morning, Alpha Team was gathered at the training arena for the usual morning training. Chris said that since I was a new member of the team, I should be sparring with the others so that they could get a good gauge of my skills and techniques. Jeff joked that the team had already seen how good I was, but Keaton shushed him so Chris wouldn't find out what happened. Chris asked if I had any preference of who I wanted to start the sparring session with and I told him I didn't mind anyone. I gave a sly grin to Brett who shook his head at me, pleading not to choose him. Luckily for him, Chris chose Piers to go against me.

"Riley, let's see how you do," Chris said, checking if Piers and I were ready before starting the session.

Piers told me not to hold back when attacking. I hope he knew what he was getting himself into because if I didn't hold back, he'd be in trouble. I went with a right jab, but he blocked it easily. He kicked me in the side and I pretended to fall back. Before my body hit the mat, I swept his leg hard so he fell to his side. He landed with a loud thud and groaned, clutching his right ankle. I might have accidentally hit his leg too hard. I quickly went up towards him to give him a hand. He pulled me down instead and pinned me on the ground, hovering above me.

"Nice try, Riley. But you should never trust your enemy," Piers said, smiling as if he had just become victorious.

"Speak for yourself, Lieutenant."

I used my knee to hit him in the guts and reversed the pin. I looked him in the eye and grinned. For the first time, I noticed how beautiful his hazel eyes were.

"Hey," I whispered, pushing back my hair slightly.

"Hey," he panted, still in shock that I was able to counter him.

I stood up and extended my hand towards him, which he greatly took. Chris gave me a thumbs-up and congratulated me on my quick skills and intelligence. When Chris asked if anyone else wanted to go against me, no one looked at Chris or me. I giggled, remembering how Leon didn't want to go against me anymore after our first (and last) sparring session. Let's just say that Leon had a minor injury after our little spar. After the sparring session, we did our own usual training routines. I mixed around with Ben, Andy and Carl, just to create small talk and find out if one of them were the traitors. Brett came to join us later, but not before apologising profusely to me. He complimented me before apologising yet again for ever doubting me.

The next few days were uneventful. I managed to talk to all the members, even though there were some people in the group that were still a little hostile towards me. I followed some of the boys for their break times, listening in to find out any information. Nothing of interest came up.

I had also been admiring Piers from afar and I think he might have caught me staring, but being a trained professional, I knew how to play it off. I even managed to get a little more friendly with Chris, but that hasn't gotten me anywhere so far. I sent a report to Adam, with all the names of Alpha Team and my findings:

Captain Christopher Redfield - has not suspected anything, extremely trustful towards his team, relies a lot on his lieutenant

Lieutenant Piers Nivans - loyal towards his captain and team, treats everyone equally, extremely sharp

Marco Rose - not a likely suspect

Benjamin Airhart - not a likely suspect

Carl Alfonso - not a likely suspect

Jeffery Johnson - not a likely suspect

Keaton O' Jerry - not a likely suspect

Reid Harrison - not a likely suspect

Andrew Walker - not a likely suspect

Brett Hall - not a likely suspect

Jenson Collins - a likely suspect, hostile and cold, not much known about him

David Richards - a likely suspect, hangs out with Jenson Collins

Alex Dixon - a likely suspect, hangs out with Jenson Collins, quiet and secretive

After sending the report, I got a call from Hunnigan who connected me to Adam. He thanked me for the report and told me to keep a close eye on those who I highlighted as likely suspects. He told me to look out for Jenson Collins especially because he was hostile towards me. I assured him that I would be fine so he wouldn't get worried. I promised to update him as soon as I got a new finding.

The next few days consisted of more intense training sessions and analysing the Alpha members. I enjoyed training with Piers and Brett, but I knew this distraction shouldn't hinder my real objective. Jenson, Alex, and David continued to steer clear of me. I wasn't sure if that was a good sign, but at least neither of them weren't trying to kill me outright. Maybe they should, so I wouldn't have to play the cat-and-mouse game of finding the traitor.

Finn Macauley had joined the team not too long ago as the bomb expert. I immediately struck him off my list because the new kid was definitely too naïve to be a suspect. He was nervous around the Captain, Lieutenant and well, everyone else. He didn't try to engage in a conversation with me after a failed-attempt of saying 'hi' to me and getting embarrassed by the rest of Alpha Team. Boy, this was going to be a long ride for him.
