"Where have you been lately?" Tarou asked me after our waitress left.

"I thought my dad already told you I'm living with Tenzin now."

"I know, but that doesn't mean we can't spend time with each other."

"Korra needs a lot of help. I've been going on missions with her and her friends."

"Who are her friends?"

"Does it matter?"

"You know it does."

I sighed. "Their names are Mako and Bolin."

"Those sound like guy names."

"Probably because they are."

Tarou slammed his fist on the table, making me jump and some soup fall out of my bowl. "So you're telling me that you've been spending all your free time with other guys?"

"It-it's not a big deal. It doesn't mean anything, Tarou."

"You can't see them anymore."

"But I have to look after Korra. I promised Tenzin, and she needs me."

"Fine. You can still spend time with the Avatar, but you aren't allowed to see those two guys anymore. Understand?"

I bowed my head. "Yes."

I got back to the island late and was walking back to my room when I heard a scream come from Korra's room.

"Korra!" I yelled as I slammed her door open. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just a bad dream." She caught her breath and looked me up and down. "Why are you all dressed up?"

I sighed. "I had a date tonight," I said as I walked over to Korra's bed to sit down.

"A date with your boyfriend that we still have yet to meet?"

"That would be the one."

"Why haven't we met him yet?

"It's just-"

"Complicated?"

I chuckled. "How'd you know?"

Korra put her hand on top of mine. "Look, I don't wanna force you to do anything you don't want to, but at this point, you either have to explain why it's so complicated or let us meet him."

I huffed. "I'll think about it."

I sat on the steps by the training area, twirling pebbles with my bending as I watched Korra practice the airbending movements.

The music suddenly cut out, and was replaced by a cryptic voice.

"Good evening, my fellow Equalists. This is your leader, Amon. As you have heard, the Republic Council has has voted to make me public enemy number one, proving once again that the benders of this city will stop at nothing to quash our revolution. But we cannot he stopped. Our numbers grow stronger by the day. You no longer have to live in fear. The time has come for benders to experience fear."

Once the message was over, I looked at Korra, who was sweating bullets.

"Hey, you okay?"

She slowly nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm not so sure about the city, though."
