"Need some help?"

I looked back to see my mother leaning against the doorframe with her arms crossed and a smug look on her face.

"I think I'm perfectly capable of putting my shirt on by myself, thanks."

Mom chuckled. "You're just like me. You never want to admit when you need help. I've been sanding here for a few minutes watching you struggle with getting dressed, Jaya. Let me help you."

I sighed, knowing I'd need the help. "Fine, but I'm only letting you help me so you can feel accomplished."

"Of course," Mom said after she laughed. "How you been feeling?" she asked as she sat down on the chair across my bed once my shirt was on.

"Better. I'm a little sore and feel a little weak, but I think I'm fully healed. Can you tell Aunt Niani I say 'thank you' the next time you see her?"

She nodded. "Of course."

"So why are you here? Shouldn't you be with Dad or at the dojo?"

"Tenzin called me here to tell you something. He said it would be better if you found this out through me."

"Find out what?" I asked nervously.

Mom sighed and put her hand on mine. "Korra is missing."

                                      _____

"What happened?" I asked as I weakly ran into the council's room at City Hall, seeing the crime scene covered with Equalist weapons.

Tenzin turned around. "Jaya, you shouldn't be here."

"I'm fine."

"How did you even get here?"

"My Mom drove me."

He sighed. "Of course she did. I asked her for one thing and that was to keep you at the island. But does she do that? Of course not."

"Don't get your robes in a twist, Tenzin." I looked past him at Tarrlok who had a healer working on his arm. "What happened to you?"

"I was just going to ask the same thing," Tenzin added.

Tarrlok sighed. "As I told Chief Saikhan, Korra came to my office late last night. She was upset that I arrested her friends. She asked me to release them and that's when the Equalists attacked. I tried to protect Korra. We were outnumbered. Then, I was electrocuted by one of their gloves. When I came to, the police had arrived, but Korra was gone. I'm so sorry. Chief Saikhan, mobilize the entire police force. We have to find the Avatar."

I was at my dad's restaurant, eating my rice peacefully until someone through the door open.

"Ren, is Jaya here?"

"Yeah, she's right over there," he answered.

"Jaya, lets go."

"Aunt Lin?" I asked in a confused tone with a mouth full of rice.

"Do you want to get your friends out of jail or not?"

_____

"Are you sure this is okay?" I whispered to Aunt Lin as we sneaked up to one of the cells.

"Well, it's definitely not legal," she said before metalbending the door off the hinges, revealing Asami laying on the bench in her cell. "Hope you got enough beauty rest. Cmon, we're busting you out."
