"So he just left you?" Sarah asked.

I nodded my head. "It's not a surprise that he did that," I said.

I called Sarah after Liam had left me in the middle of nowhere. She came to my rescue in under 10 minutes, and I was grateful that she showed up.

We were currently driving to her house because I knew if I had gone home now, they would ask why I'm not at work.

"Thank you for picking me up," I said.

She smiled at me, nodding her head and continued to drive silently till we reached her home.

We entered inside. I greeted her parents, sitting in the living room watching tv and heading upstairs to her room.

"So what are you going to tell your parents?" She asked, jumping up on her bed. I took my seat on her desk chair and shrugged my shoulder. "I don't want them to find out," I said.

Telling my parents will cause more problems than I couldn't deal with. My parents already weren't the biggest fan of Liam, and I don't know what would happen if I did tell them what happened.

Sarah nodded her head, not asking me any further questions about the subject.

"Why does Liam hate you so much?" She questioned, her eyes filled with curiosity. I was a little taken aback by her question, and I didn't exactly know how to answer. "Sorry, I just can't understand why he doesn't like you; you're one of the kindest people I have ever met," she said. I smiled at her kind words.

"It's okay. Liam never liked me since the beginning, and I don't know the reason why he does hate me, but I know one thing for sure is that he blames me for his best friend's death...," I said.

"What do you mean?" she questioned further.

And I told her the whole painful story of my life. The ways I felt at times and sometimes still feel. She listened carefully, not interrupting me once. It was painful telling her all this, and I didn't know how I did it without managing to break it down into pieces.

"Wow... I don't know what to say?" Sarah said, her eyes red from the tears she had shed hearing Noah's story.

I smiled at her, not knowing what to say either.

"I can't believe something like this happened to you," she said, looking at me with those pitiful eyes that I hated receiving.

"It's okay. I'm getting used to it," I said, wiping off the tears from her eyes quickly.

"Anyways, no more sad talk, let's do something fun," I said, clapping my hands together and getting up from her bed.

Sarah didn't say anything but instead hugged me. She wrapped her thin arms around my neck and pulled me closer in her embrace.

And just like that, everything I tried so hard to keep inside came right out. The tears came down like a waterfall, and the memories of Noah overflowed my head.

"It's okay..." Sarah said, rubbing my hair, and I hugged her tighter.

I had never had anyone like Sarah before. It was something entirely new for me. Having a friend that was a girl that understood me was something I thought I would never get.

I have never even had a friend before, but having her made me feel like I didn't need anyone else. She was kind and genuine, and I was glad that she was there for me when I needed her.

Even if we haven't known each other for long, I knew she would be there for me.

The weekend seems to come and go, and before I knew it, we were back at school. I walked into my English class, taking my seat in the back row where I usually sat. I waited for Mrs. Lopez to start her lesson today as she prepared something on the board.
