You are mine and always will be mine.

Liam's words kept ringing in my head, and I pressed my hands against my forehead, wishing just to get it out and concentrate at work.

I had a headache from thinking about it too much.

But it was tough when I'm distracted more than ever. I kept putting things in the wrong places, and when working at a hospital, I really couldn't afford to make that mistake.

I needed to think about anything else but Liam.

"Are you excited about tomorrow?" Nathan asked, tapping on my shoulder from the back. I shook my head. "Ya, I'm super excited! I can't wait for you to meet Sarah," I exclaimed, clapping my hands together.

"Me too. I'm so excited to meet her," he said with a smile, picking up a stack of papers. "You know I always thought working at a hospital would be a risky and boring job, but honestly, I never had this much fun cause obviously, you're here and-"

"Um, Nathan,"

"I'm rambling again, aren't I," he sighed. I giggle, nodding my head.

Talking with Nathan always made me stop thinking about Liam, which was great since he's always on my mind nowadays.

"Oo, look, who's here again?" Nathan nudged my elbow, making me look up to see none other than Jace walking towards us.

"Yo, Davis," Jace yelled, throwing a peace sign in the air.

"Yo, Allen," Nathan yelled back, throwing his own share of peace signs in the air.

"How are you doing, mate?" Jace asked.

"Good, how you are doing?"

"All right, " he said with a charming smile. "how are you doing, Storm?"

"Good, thank you," I said with a smile.

"I texted you, but I never got a reply, "

"No way! You did?" Nathan yelled, thrilled.

I had forgotten entirely to reply, but then again, I wasn't even sure if I wanted to answer. I didn't really want to either. Jace was a perfect-looking guy, and I wasn't sure why he would even look at me. I felt out of place just standing near him.

"Oh, sorry I forgot to reply," I said, hanging my head down awkwardly.

"It's alright. I was just freaking out," he mumbled, placing a hand behind his head, making him look like an innocent child. "Can I expect a reply from you from now on?"

"Ya, for sure, I promise," I said, not really sure if I would be able to keep that promise. I haven't even saved his number yet.

"Anyways, I wanted to let you know there is a party this weekend. You should come,"

"Yes, I was going to invite you earlier, but it slipped my mind. But it's Sunday! We can go after we go out for lunch, and Sarah can come along as well," Nathan said.

I didn't reply right away. I wasn't the type to ever go to parties, and the last time I went was with Sarah, and I could barely even remember that night. But if this were an Alester High party, I wouldn't have to worry about seeing Liam and his group. It would also be nice to get out of the house once in a while.

"Ya, I would love to, but we'll ask Sarah first, " Nathan nodded his head, excited.

"Then it's settle. I'll see you at the party," Jace said. "I would love to hang out with you as well," his smile made me swoon, making me look sideways. "Anyways, it's my time to get going. Cheers, mate," he said before he left.
