"Did you find it?" I heard Luke ask Liam as I stood in the parking lot of our school with Sarah.
The classes don't start for another 30 minutes, so we waited outside.
Liam lit his second cigarette. "Tyler still has it. He said he'd bring it Sunday,"
"Okay. I informed Emilio about the fight. If you win, you know what will happen," Luke said. Liam nodded his head.
I remembered the conversation they had downstairs about some fight that was taking place on Sunday.
"Is it true that those guys are in some type of gang?" Sarah asked, looking over at Liam's group.
"Why do you say that?" I asked.
"I don't know. At my old school, I know that they were rumours about some illegal stuff that some groups of guys were involved in. I wonder if they are also involved in something like that?" She said, looking over at them.
"I don't know, maybe," I said, turning over my shoulder and looking at them.
"Dude, those guys are dangerous. Are you sure you're still up for it?" Isaac said with a concerned expression. "These aren't like any other fights. Remember what happened to-"
"I know, Isaac! I don't need you to keep fucking reminding me," Liam said, harshly taking a smoke out of his cigarette. "Look, I'm fighting either way, so both of you stop fucking telling me what to do!" He glared at them before getting into his Jeep and driving off.
Liam was angry. The way he rushed off in his car shows that whatever happened is not good. And this fight they were talking about seemed to be important for Liam.
Either way, it's none of my concern, and I shouldn't be thinking about it as much as I was.

"Do you think we would be able to survive a zombie apocalypse?" Nathan asked, turning his attention to me. I looked at him, confused. "I mean, is our town able to undergo an apocalypse?"
"I honestly don't know. Maybe," I said, shrugging my shoulder, filling out a form.
"Mm, do you think you'll survive one?" He pointed the pen he had at my face.
"Nope, I think I'll be the first to die!" I said, moving the pen out of my face.
"Ya, I see that,"
"Hey, rude!" I yelled, slapping his back lightly.
Working with Nathan is always entraining. He had this weird personality that was fun to be around.
You never get bored with him. He tends to keep my mind of things I just wish to forget. But then again, it was only for a short while before my mind is clouded with reminders that I never want to leave my brain.
After Luke had left, Liam was angry.
He pushed me against the wall. He was screaming in my face. I was afraid he was gonna hit by how violent he was being.
Tyler's old room has become a mess. His books were across the room. Broken glass from picture frames scattered the floor. The pillows on his bed were ripped apart.
I was scared.
I had never witnessed Liam like this. I wanted to get out. I wanted to leave immediately, runaway without turning back.
I took a step backward, getting ready to escape out the door before he has the chance even to see me. But I spoke too soon. Just as I was about to get out, he pulled me back into the room as hard as he could, slamming me against the hard wall. Trapping me in between his arms.
