I couldn't stop thinking about what happened yesterday. Every time I closed my eyes, all I see was Liam.

I hated him so much for doing such a horrible thing. I almost didn't go to school today. I just wanted to stay home and avoid being called names for kissing him by all those girls who worshiped him at his feet.

I know he would have announced it to the school.

But my parents didn't let me stay home. It was impossible convincing my parents and lying to them about a stomach ache like a little kid won't work when they are both doctors.

So I hopped into my car and drove to school.

I arrived in less than five minutes. I pulled into the parking lot at the same time as Sarah did. I smiled at her getting out of my car, walking to where her car was.

"Hey,"

"Hey! How are you?" She asked.

Terrible.

"I'm good. How are you?"

"Um, Luke came over yesterday," she said, hanging her head low, staring at her feet. She played with her finger before looking back up at me. "For the assignment, and well, it didn't go well, and he did this," she lifted her full sleeve shirt revealing scratches and huge bruises.

I gasped. I grabbed her arm, examining the injury.

"Oh my gosh, Sarah! This looks bad,"

"It's okay; it was an accident. It's not like I can report it,"

The sad truth was that she couldn't. Even if she wanted to, no one would do anything about it. Sure, she could file a complaint, but in this town, no one will believe it, especially if he's the son of the mayor of this town.

And speaking to the school principal will do no help either.

We walked inside the school. I looked around to see whether there were any posters or images about the kiss or my diary. But to my relief, there was none, and I could let out my breath.

Had Liam not told anyone about anything?

Heading over to my Locker, I set all my belongings down and grabbed my English textbook.

We walked into our English class, taking our usual seat and waited for the lesson to start.

"Late as always, Mr. Stone and Mr. Carter," Mrs. Lopez said as the two boys walked in. They nodded their head at the teacher, giving her a quirky smirk and walked to their seat.

I kept my eyes down at my textbook, avoiding making eye contact with him.

"Storm, I wanted to ask you how your project with Liam is going? Remember, you guys are presenting on Thursday," she said with one eyebrow raised.

I looked over my shoulder, meeting Liam's eyes, which were already fixated on me. I quickly turned back, looking back at the teacher, and said: "Ya, it's coming along, Mrs. Lopez. We'll be ready,"

She nodded her head, walking away to another student.

I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to do this assignment at all. But I fought with him to do this with me, and not being able to finish it will only result in my embarrassment and a poor grade I just couldn't afford to receive.

And so I left behind my fear. Taking a deep breath and got up, and walked over to Liam's desk.

You can do this, Storm.

"C-can I talk to you?" My voice choked up in my throat; it was a miracle I could even form the sentence.

He snickered. Eying me up and down, making me feel insecure. He got up from his desk. "Why? Can't get enough of yesterday," he whispered, his lips barely missing my ears.
