I could barely focus at work today. I just kept wondering whether Liam had read my diary. I couldn't direct my focus on anything else but that.
The whole night after the incident, I turned and tossed, trying to get some sleep and not focus on it, but it was close to impossible.
The whole day today, I kept checking various forms of social media, wondering if he had posted anything on them. But luckily, he hadn't, but that didn't mean he won't.
That very diary had all secrets I tried my best to hold and hideaways from anyone and everyone, including myself. All those entries were written since I had moved here, and Liam having such a book gave him everything he wanted to ruin me utterly.
And I couldn't stop him even if I wanted to because, after all, he was the one everyone would believe. After all, he is exposing the truth.
I finally arrived home from a long day at work. I wondered if my parents were still home, considering they had a work party to attend to at one of their colleague's houses.
"Mom. Dad," I called out, wondering if I would get a response.
"Over here, Storm," my dad yelled back from the kitchen. I took my uncomfortable jacket off and went over to the kitchen.
"Hey guys, when did you say you were leaving?" I asked while I entered the kitchen. But stopped dead on my track when I noticed that someone was standing in front of my parents.
To my complete surprise, there stood Liam.
He was wearing ripped black jeans with a leather jacket and a white shirt inside.
What was he doing here?
No.
Did he discover something awful in the diary that he had to inform my parents?
It couldn't be.
Were my parents going to kick me out of the house? Should I start packing my bags right away?
"Hey, sweetie. Um, Liam came to see you. You have a project you guys need to work on," my dad said as he stood next to him.
I had completely forgotten about the assignment and haven't gotten any chance to work on it either, mostly because Liam hadn't shown up. I wasn't able to do anything without him except rehearse my lines for the presentation.
"We were just heading out anyways so you guys can use the whole house," my mom said with a chuckle.
I so badly wanted to beg them to stay and not leave me alone with this evil man. But at last, I knew I couldn't say anything but remain silent and let them leave to go to their party.
"Um, I'll go get the script," I said, turning to head up to my room. But before I could take one more step, Liam grabbed my hand.
"We're leaving," he said, dragging me out of my house.
"Stop Liam, where are we going?" I asked when he pushed me to get into his car.
"Get in now," he commanded me.
I crossed my arm and stood in front of him. "I'm not getting in till you tell me where you're taking me,"
He sighed a heavy breath looking to the side, and what happened next took me by surprise.
He lifted me off the ground picking me up bridal style. I was surprised he was able to lift me so easily.
"Ahh, let me go," I screamed and yelled. But he opened the passenger side of his car and dropped me in. He got in on the other side and sped off to some unknown place.
