Stares were earned from each side. The stare of anger and overpower and the stare of confusion with a hint of fear. "You guys are from Grimmoire High are'nt ya? Well, guess we expected too much." Started a guy who was currently showing off his logo in his uniform. "What about it?" Maria replied. "Oh, so what about it? Let me tell you this, I'd kick your ass but I know you'd be enjoying it.... Just kidding"The boys laughed. From that, Mechaila had enough. "We never asked for your life story expirience..." But even so, the boys continued laughing from the feeling of victory.
"I wasnt stating my life story expirience. I was simply stating yours." They continued laughing and the rest of the girls went silent. Backfolded, they stayed that way. They were famouse for death events. "See you... In your grave" the boy who spoke up first started walking away followed with the rest of his gang. Still laughing from what ever happend. From there, they stayed silent. In their eyes, suffering, guilt and deppression can be seen, broad as daylight. They wanted everything to end. Their lives are at stake. And they have nothing to do about it. They are nothing like their national heroes. Unlike Jose Rizal who did everything to free the country from what little he has.
They were cowards and they were'nt ashamed to admit such trait.

Maria's POVClass ended and felt like eternity to most of the students. They waited for the bell that would finaly end school for the day. After 5 minutes of waiting, it finaly did. Students stood up from their seats and said their farewells to their teachers. Justin, Mechaila, Ruth and me did our usual routines during dissmissal; see each other at Ruth's classroom. We all gathered and waited for Ruth who was still cleaning the classroom since she was an assigned cleaner on Thursday. Just as she went out of the door, a scream of help was heard, just across the building we are in. Students started swarming the area of the student who kept shouting for help. And we did to. Luckily there were'nt many students yet and we could see what was going on.
It was a girl. From the looks of it, she was holding her chest like there was a natural heart attack occering to her. But no. "Help! I didnt do anything!! I never told anyone about the school!" She kept screaming those kinds of sentences over and over again. She was struggling from her situation. Squirming. Trying to ease the pain she was feeling. Her bestfriend, just right beside her, was shocked and did'nt know what to do. Well at least she tried doing something. And that something was just calling out the name of her bestfriend who was currently struggling and sobbing. Is that what friends do these days? Ruth colapsed one time but we did help her... sort of. Putting that aside, the girl expectedly died. Her bestfriend cried like a newborn baby.
Staff and the clinic went to her and collected her body like it was just a pile of dirt on the floor. Students did'nt even give a shit after what happend. They all disbanded feeling nothing. Although I wonder what she could have done to deserve such punnishment. We decided to ask her bestfriend what she might have done as to recieve death. "Nothing. Nothing at all. We were just talking...random things..." her face still kept the shocked and dissapointed expression on her face. Then a voice came in the speakers. It was the principal. "Attention students. death was given to one of the students here." He stopped halfway. Readg to give off what ever he is about to say next. He normaly does not announce death events and it became natural to us that it happens.
"This time, your school master--Chad-- was not responsible for such events." Shocking as it is, students around started whisppering to the person who was closest to them. "During the day this all even started, death has been given to some of the students." I remember Nika. The very first student who died from a gun shot. "He was not responsible for such events without reason. The only thing that gives you death from his hands is by breaking rules that were given to you." Chaos were the only respond the principal got.We walked home, confused with everything the principal announced. "So Chad was not the one who killed Nika?" Mechaila started.
"I guess not simce she died before everything started." Ruth added.
"So then there's another killer roaming around school..." I concluded. But wasnt so sure if that was even acurate. But thats the only thing I could think of."It could be possible..." After what Mika said, we all fell silent. Our heads bound to solving such mystery that we cant solve ourselves. A few blocks after, we reached our parting ways. I walked home to the usual street I see everyday I went home. The narrow street where it was peaceful and only a few people would pass by. I walked through with no one but myself. From afar, I could see someone leaning on the right side of the wall. Wearing a neon green jacket with a hoodie on. I could'nt tell if it was a boy or a girl because of the hoodie. But the shorts made it obvious. No boy would wear some girl-shorts. As I walked further, every detail turned clear. Her hands in her jacket-pockets, facing downwards. I walked pass beside her but I never had the intention to look at her face. Why would I anyways? As the lines of our path crossed, she stood up and walk pass me.
I didn't mind her at all. But what's surprising was the fact that she had a purpose to stand up from what she was doing. I looked back to see what she was gonna do and found out that there was a guy at my back and I didn't even notice him trailing behind me. They met each other and started chatting like a secret they never wanted me to hear. I looked back at the front and quickened my pace. Nervewrecking. It was only a few meters away before I would meet the buisy streets. And so, after a few walks, I was able to see fast running cars and noisy people. It was a relief I was able to fast as I expected. Just across the street, the dorm building in where I stayed was visible. I instantly crossed the street and went in the building. With no other buisness to do, I went straight to my room.
And as usual, I open the door, seeing no one inside. In other words, I live alone. Me and Ruth could have shared dorms but I had a roommate that time and just as Ruth found another dorm to stay in, my roommate moved out and Ruth was to lazy to transfer to another dorm. So I ended up being alone. Not that I like to have a roommate. Exhosted from class, I jumped to my comfortable bed after changing my uniform. Fortunately, I had no assignments to be done. I wanted to rest my feet and all but my phone rang and I remembered that I left it in the window frame. I stood up with a groan and when I looked into who ever's calling, it was an unknown number. I picked it up but as I did, the call stopped. It was 30 minutes past sunset so I could still see the outside clearly. I looked out the window and saw the girl who was weari g the neon jacket, leaning on a lamp post across the building of the dorm I was staying in.
I still could'nt make out her face no matter how hard I squinted my eyes. I leaned myself against the window to see clearly from the 4th floor but with her hair and hood on the way, I could'nt. The wiered thing was that she was holding her phone on her right hand and when I saw her, she hid it in her pockets. I bet she saw me leaning on the window since she started walking away. I was creeped out. Chills were sent down my vines so I closed the windows. It was so creepy that I can't turn off the light so I slept with it on the whole night. What if that was a kidnapper?? A murderer maybe?? A phsycopath?? Whatever she is, she was creepy... If she was the one who called me, how'd she get my number??
But that wasn't the only thing that was flooding my mind. The thought of having another murderer at school was disturbing. Like what if it comes for me? And how did the girl die?? The principal never would have announced about the death incident to the girl earlier if itvwas a natural heart attack. But she was shouting for help and claiming that she did'nt do anything. Meaning she wasn't trying to escape school nor was trying to tell anyone about school. Society's messed up...
Shit.
