12:30 A.mDad woke me about after 8, asking if I wanted to go shoot hoops with him. I was dead tired but since of late he has been trying to have that relationship we once had. I wasn't going to be a bitch about it and not cooperate since I missed our bond. I loved basketball it was my passion but he was more of a football guy, he's the reason I actually started playing.
After the game today I realized how much I missed it and I should've been doing what I loved all this time. We had the talk about it and surprisingly he was supportive. My life felt like it was finally falling back in place. Dad was acting right, mom was happy and I was lucky enough to meet a beautiful girl that's so different from any girl that I've ever talked to, I felt so lucky to be with Cyrene.
The more time I spent with her the more my feelings developed to the point where it scares me. She was easy to chill with, she always went the flow even though I have a love/hate relationship with her stubbornness I still admired how she stood up for what she believed in. A girl has never made me nervous and want to ensure that I'm on my p's and q's until I met her. She was truly special and it's about time I showed her that.
We reached back home around 12:30 since the sun started pelting and I wasn't about to get a heatstroke. Dad parked and I hopped out looking over at Cece's place. I could've sworn I saw Quincy's car earlier but I know it just couldn't be. He had no business at my girl's house.
Dad opened the door and the first thing I noticed was Quincy's brother Justin and My little sister snuggled up on the couch. I personally had no problems with Justin but I didn't want my sister messing with any guy right now or ever at all.
Dad greeted him and they seemed pretty cool like they've met. We never really talked before so I wasn't going to put on a show now, Sammy glared at me which was weird since she should've been glad I was actually quiet and not petty.
I went upstairs so I could take a quick shower. Exhausted was an understatement but it was really worth it. After my quick shower, I went back downstairs to purposely make things awkward between Sam and her guy friend. As her older brother not only do I always try to protect her but annoying her was the next best thing to it.
"So what are we watching," I asked as I squeezed myself in between them causing them both to scoot over so I could comfortably sit in the middle.
"Chris I swear if you embarrass me," Sammy said through gritted teeth lowly enough for it to be only heard by me. I looked at her and wiggled my eyebrows, she knows better than to bring a guy home when she knows I'd be around.
"So Justin what's up," I said as I made my 'p' pop at the ending of the sentence.
"Trying to chill with Sam, pretty sure you can see that," He answered smartly, which caused me to laugh. He must have had no idea who he was messing with.
"Really because to me it looks like you're trying to fuck," I said bluntly only to feel a hard nudge from Sammy. Next thing I knew she was pulling me off somewhere private far away where she could probably scream at me without Justin hearing.
"What is your fucking problem!" She yelled.
"You know better not to raise your damn voice at me," I said calmly as I folded my arms. I hated being yelled at, I absolutely saw no reason for the raising of voices.
"Chris seriously, don't do that shit. I'm tired of you scaring off every guy I try to be with, every guy that I bring home you fuck with them seriously chill out bro. You are not about to fuck with this one I'm trying to date" I could hear the frustration in her voice.
"Date? I don't know what that is." I said stubbornly refusing to accept what she had to say.
Sometimes it was hard seeing her try to act all grown up, she was only 16 and I've been there for her since day one always playing a brother/father figure in her life. I'd seriously hurt anyone that dares hurt my sister or worst my mother.
