"Mattulus didn't win. Emeline did. When they were reincarnated – forced to live with the decision of their past – they are best friends turned enemies: Maxwell and Ella. She fell in love with a man by the name: Edmundus who went by Eddie. Maxwell killed Ella in an act of rage thus restarting the cycle of darkness all over again. Souls forced to relive their lives over and over until the war is carried out. The following time they were lovers: Eliza and Mason. Except she fell in love with Edwin. Each and every time – either the dark prince dies or the lost princess dies – both have yet to survive. Remember who you're fighting."

"Mom?"

I shouted, but no one answered. Digging through my bag, I grapple for my house key until I latched onto something cold attached to a chain. While opening the door, I yell out "You in here? Where are you? We need to speak." Still nothing. The SUV is in the driveway; engine hot meaning someone arrived moments before me.

Without warning, my dad pops up around the corner causing me to drop my phone. Bending down to pick it up, I squat and look up at him. "What are you doing here?"

"I live here."

Looking down at the floor, I straighten out my knees and mumble, "Right. Have you seen mom?"

Taking a sip of his coffee, he shakes his head and responds with, "Not recently. She's around here somewhere. Is there something I can help you with? Does it relate to the war we are partaking in?"

Should I tell him? No, I still do not trust him. He should still know, right? After all, I accused him for Matty's death that never happened. Pull yourself together Em. Then my mother strolls in from the kitchen with a rag to dry her hands and tilts her head to the side.

"Mom!" I shout as I advert my focus to my mother who had flour on her cheek from cooking in the kitchen. She's cooking again? Yay. Snickerdoodles! My father mutters "She wants to tell you something, Chloe." Taking another sip of his dark roasted coffee out of his Yoda mug

"Okay Patrick – why couldn't she tell you?" squabbles my mother as she wipes the sweat off of her forehead with a swift sliding of the hand.

"Hell if I should know."

"Mom, I ran into the Dark Lord last week." I blurt out while squinting my eyes like an old lady without her glasses. I was waiting for someone to flinch or exchange glances between one another. Nothing. Not even a single breath escaped from their mouths. "Did I stutter? I met the leader of the Delphians last week. He's a sight for sore eyes honestly speaking. Did you guys know that I was the lost princess?" My mom drops the towel from her hands at the same time her jaw meets the tiled-floor. While my father widens his eyes and parts his lips to say something. "Well?"

"I had an idea that you were. That's why I named you..."

"After princess Emeline? The Lost Princess who provoked the Dark Prince, Mattulus? The leader of Transcendents all around. Yeah, I know."

"He wanted to eradicate our kind."

Pulling myself together, I reply with "He still does. The lonely girl is the lost princess. That's me. With the lost princess returning to her throne - people will be there to snatch it. The villainous dark prince will attempt to snatch it away once and for all. The lost prophecy claims that only one species will survive the war. Curs, Transcendents, or Delphics - you name it - only one will win. He's alive."

"You don't mean Mattulus is back walking around the land of the living do you? Impossible." Stammers my dad as he sets his coffee down. "Do you know what his nickname was way back then that Emeline gave to him? That Edmund despised her for giving him that nickname."
