Bryce put his hands behind his head as he lay in bed that night, smiling.
This was a great day.
Half the album was now recorded and mixed. The art department had some great ideas, and work was progressing on the album packaging. A launch date had been chosen, and Publicity, Promotion and Marketing were working on a blitz campaign. The radio stations were primed for Ashanté's big debut, and the Sales Department was already talking to music stores online and off to put Ashanté's CD on their shelves. Artist Development had hired a director for the video of Stars and Bars and Steel Guitars, and their in-house expert on social media was creating Ashanté's website, blog and social network presence.
A lot was getting accomplished behind the scenes.
Then he'd met Ashanté's parents today and showed them around.
They seem like a groovy couple. A bit overprotective, perhaps, but that's laudable.
They seemed to be on board with whatever made their daughter happy and served her best interests. That was the important thing. It was a damn good day.
He deserved a reward, then. Pressing the remote on the widescreen, he played the video he'd made without Scarlett's knowledge of their sexual encounter. There was a reason he always brought one night stands up to the blue bedroom: it was the only room in the house that had mics and spy cameras embedded in the walls.
