I wake as I feel someone shake me lightly, calling out my name in a low, soft voice. My eyes flutter open and get greeted by blinding light. I blink a few times to focus and I see ocean blue eyes in front and a hand held out for me to take. I immediately take Aaron's hand as he helps me to sit up properly, with my back sore and aching because of sleeping on the couch.

"Slept well?" He asks as he sits beside me.

"I think so. My back hurts a lot." I say, moving my shoulders and neck to lighten up the muscles.

"Mhm." He says, streching his arms out.

"So, what do we do? We can't just stay here and wait here in this lobby."

"But they said to stay indoors," Lori starts.

"Yes, but we can't stay here.We don't even have food. At least we can go to some other building where we will get food. People might help us." Josh says taking my side and I for the first time I'm glad.

"We can find more infected people out there too." Lori says.

"Yes, but we will starve here and how knows, infected people might come here too. Look, it's risky but we have no choice." I try to prove my point.

"Fine. Let's go." She lets out a frustrated sigh.

After a few minutes of arguing we decide we'll walk down a block or two, we'll look for people and ask help. I run to bathroom to wash my face and meet them in the waiting room, all ready to get out. We walk down the lobby and right out the entrance. The streets are a mess. A few crashed and abandonned cars on the road, splatters of blood of the road and a dead body lied a few fit in front of us.

We start walking down the road, a pungent smell comes floating making me nauseous. I tilt my head down, keeping my eyes glued to my feet to avoid seeing any blood when all of a sudden Aaron stops in his track and I bump into his strong back. I rub my temple and look in front, a woman, her back facing us is standing like a mannequin.

"Ma'am?" Aaron asks taking a step forward.

We wait for a reply or for her to turn around but instead we hear a low snarl. She slowly starts to turn around, the snarl getting louder slowly. As she fully faces us i get horrified by her. Flesh from the neck is missing, still fresh, crimson blood dripping down her clothes, her remaining flesh is clearly visible. Clearly nothing but emptiness in her eyes and expression like she's dead. Our eyes go wide as the women snarls and lurches, her long arms reaching out for us.

"Shit, run!" I say out loud and start running towards the left.

We run down about 2 blocks without stopping and finally halt by a sidewalk as the woman was no longer behind us. We all breathe heavily because of the run, i inhale and exhale roughly, trying to catch my breath and calm down. A sudden loud thud startles us as we stand and we jolt back. Just as I turn to the direction, I see more of the infected dead-like people inside the glass door of this mall. They start banging heavily and growling to come out at us.

"Guys get back." I slowly sa while moving a few steps back.

"What the hell?" Jake bewilderingly says.

Those things start to get furious, they  bang harder and harder each time, growling like a hungry beast waiting to prey. I hear small cracking sound through the growls and I observe the glass, it is slowly breaking and it won't hold much longer.

"We need to move! The glass won't hold much longer!" I prompt and start taking steps behind.

As we started running towards another road, the glass breaks and the shattering of the glass Pierce's through the air followed by the growls. The infected got out and has already started coming towards us in speed.I start moving my feet, running as fast as I can at this moment, my eyes glued to my feet and the others right beside me. As we reach the roads which usually stays the most busy, i feel a hand pull me to the side. I think it's an infected and try my best to wriggle out but it's grip is tight and I am too weak. Then i realize whatever or whoever held me wasn't hurting me. I open my eyes and I see Aaron, his index finger pressed against his lips telling me to shush. He let's me go and holds me by my shoulder, keeping me behind a car.
