After Sakura and Sasuke had finished their mission in Suna, they didn't waste time going to their next stop which would be Iwagakure or Stone Village. Before they had reached the village they decided to annihilate Orochimaru's hideout between Suna and Iwagakure's borders.
"There's nothing much here..." Sakura said. She checked some dusty scrolls and started to read.
"It's because Orochimaru had abandoned this place way back before the war." Sasuke said. He turned off some broken large test tubes in the lab.
"This is a scroll about the Fourth's Teleportation Jutsu..." Sakura whispered while reading a particular scroll.
"Those are just copies. The original copies had been probably stolen during a raid of the bandits in this place." Sasuke said.
"I might find something useful from this one..." Sakura said and put the scroll inside her bag.
"You do know that even though those are just copies they're still considered forbidden..." Sasuke said to Sakura with a puzzled face.
"I know. I will ask permission from the Sixth. In fact, I'm writing him a letter now..." Sakura said while smiling at Sasuke. She went out of the hideout and left him alone.
Sasuke walked around the area one more time to check everything and after he was sure that he finished his mission in the place he went out to look for Sakura.
He found her sitting on a bench in front of the ocean. She's done writing a letter to their Sensei and she was about to finish her letter to Naruto. She writes to him constantly. After she was done with her letters, she handed them to Sasuke. Sasuke put them inside a container and attached it to his hawk's feet.
The hawk flew across the ocean. Sasuke sat beside Sakura and watched the bird fly away. The sound of the waves crashing onto the rocks and the pale light blue color of the sky gave them a sense of peace.
"Finally an alone time with Sasuke-kun..." Sakura whispered to herself. Sakura took a glance at Sasuke beside her. "I wish we could always stay like this..."
After a while, Sasuke stood from sitting, "Let's go ahead so we can reach Iwagakure by morning."
Sakura stood up and smiled at Sasuke.
They reach the village by morning the next day. The village is surrounded by rocky mountain ranges and most of their tower was made of rock and stones that symbolize their rock-hard attitude. An Iwa Team was waiting for them at the village entrance.
"Welcome to Iwagakure Sakura-chan!" greeted the Captain of the Team. He has dark eyes and dark hair.
"Oh, it's you Morio-kun!" Sakura cried and smiled at the Captain.
"Yeah, it's been a while... You're still as beautiful as ever." Captain Morio smiled at her again.
"O-oh thank you," Sakura said timidly. "I can see your arm is okay now..." she added.
"Yeah! Thanks to you... you saved my life during the war!" Captain Morio said expressing his gratitude towards her.
"Ehem! Will you quit flirting around and let's get back to business!" cried the young genin beside Captain Morio. He has purple spiky hair, brown skin, and dark eyes.
"Idiot Furinto! Don't talk to her like that! She's a high official in Konoha!" cried a young girl to the boy and knocked him on the head.
"Ouch!" cried the young genin while holding his head.
Sakura burst into laughter because she suddenly remembered her genin days with Team Seven.
"Are you the Team that will escort us to the Kage?" Sasuke asked with his usual stony demeanor.
"Yes Lord Sasuke we are the assigned Team that will escort you to the Tsuchikage and your guards around the village." Captain Morio answered and he smiled at Sasuke.
"Whoa! Lord Sasuke!" the genin boy cried admiringly to Sasuke.
"Allow me to introduce my Team. These are Furinto, Koishi, and Yuru. They are all genin and my subordinates." Captain Morio said.
"I'm Furinto! The number one and greatest Iwa Shinobi of Stone Village! You don't have to worry about your safety because I am here to protect you Lord Sasuke!" cried the genin boy that has purple spiky hair. He grinned at them.
"Birdbrain! He is a war hero and a sannin you are just a hindrance!" said the other genin boy to Furinto. He has long brown curly hair, a pair of hazel eyes, and a sour expression.
"Yes! Yuru-kun is correct!" cried the only girl in the Team. She has long straight blond hair, freckles on her face, reddish skin, and dreamy blue eyes that are staring at Yuru.
"What did you say you asshole!" cried Furinto to Yuru. He's known to be impatient, especially with his teammate Yuru.
"Hey, boys stop that!" Captain Morio shouted.
"Will you take us to the Tsuchikage now?" Sasuke commanded. He looked irritated perhaps because of the noisy team in front of him and lacked sleep during their travel.
"Y-yes please Morio-kun. Let's go ahead." Sakura forced a smile on her face although she had a worried tone afraid that Sasuke would show his impertinent manner.
"Yes, Sakura-chan! I apologize for their behavior." Captain Morio spoke with an apologetic tone while trying to smile at them.
"This way please..." Sakura and Sasuke followed Team Morio.
