Another Adventure and Baby Part 1

I woke up the next morning, drowsy and not wanting to get up. Today was going to be one of those adventure days, but this one I am not looking forward to at all. Mommy said that this one might be a little bit more dangerous than the other ones I've been on. I do not like dangerous things because I am afraid that I will get hurt severely. I'm most afraid of my mommy and daddy getting hurt severely and possibly die. That would make me so sad.

"Jessica time to get up!" Mommy called, coming in with Aunt Jesse and Aunt Olivia. "We have an adventure to go on today!"

"But mommy I don't want to go on the adventure. You said that it would be dangerous unlike the ones that I've been on," I said, burying my head under the covers.

"Don't worry about it sweetie," mommy says, uncovering me. "It isn't that dangerous now that Jesse has told me what it is going to be."

"What is it?" I ask, still worrying about the adventure.

"You will have to see," mommy said as I got out of bed. "Ow... Okay that is weird..."

"Mommy you okay?" I asked, concerned.

"Ow!" she cried, clutching her stomach.

"Mommy!" I cried, jumping out of bed. "Do I need to get daddy?!"

"Yes sweetie," Petra says sitting down, leaning against the wall. "Oh gosh..."

I ran as fast as I could to daddy, who was in the kitchen with Aunt Jesse. "Daddy! Aunt Jesse!"

"What's wrong Jessica?" Aunt Jesse asked, kneeling down beside me.

"It's mommy," I said, tears running down my face. "She's in pain and I don't know why!"

"Okay sweetie," daddy says, getting up from the chair he was sitting at. "Lead us the way."

I scrambled to my room, where mommy was, not looking too good. "Mommy I have daddy and Aunt Jesse!"

"Oh... ow... Lukas..." mommy said, not able to speak.

"Petra you okay?" Jesse asked, kneeling down to mommy.

"Jesse I think I'm having another baby," Petra says, tears in her eyes.

"What?!" Aunt Jesse and daddy cried.

"Are you sure?" Daddy asked mommy, holding her hand and I did the same.

"Yes," mommy said, looking at me as she did so. "Jessica, you are going to be a big sister soon, so be ready."

"Lukas, you go get a blanket, and Jessica you have to leave. You don't want to see this," Aunt Jesse said, looking at me with worry in her eyes.

"I don't want to leave mommy though," I said, tears streaming down my face.

"Trust me on this Jess," Aunt Jesse said as daddy came back with a blanket. "We will call you when you can come back in."

I reluctantly got out of my room. Mommy is going to have a baby? I'm going to be a big sister? This is so exciting! I always wanted a baby brother or sister, and now I will have one in a few minutes!

Daddy's (or if you prefer me saying his name) Lukas' POV

I was so panicked as I grabbed a blanket like Jesse asked. I didn't know Petra was pregnant until now. I don't think she knew either. Now she is having it and I have to be there for her. I feel kind of bad for Jessica. She didn't want to leave Petra, but we had to let her get out because of Petra having a baby. She always wanted a baby brother or sister, and now her dream will come true in a few minutes! I came back in the room as Jessica got out of the room and handed Jesse the blanket. I went straight to Petra who was breathing in and out. She smiled at me as I came to her and held her hand.

"Petra you will be ready to have the baby in a few minutes okay?" Jesse says, putting the blanket over Petra's legs. "Keep calm and you will be a mother of 2 soon."

A few minutes later, Jesse came in with a towel, ready to deliver the baby like she did with Jessica. "Okay Petra, I need you to push."

She did so, and my hand almost went numb. It was like this when Jessica was born, but this was stronger than that time. It was 2 times stronger than when she had her. She screamed a little, and I rubbed her back, reassuring her that everything would be okay. I then heard some shuffling in the background, outside of the room we were in. Dang I almost forgot about Jessica! She's waiting outside for her baby brother or sister to be born!

My POV

I was pacing back and forth as mommy had the baby. I heard Aunt Jesse say that mommy had to push, and then silence once again. I was nervous about her having it, but at the same time I was excited to be a big sister. At one point, I heard mommy scream, and I jumped. Is mommy okay? I need to know! I barged into my room, seeing mommy's eyes closed and holding daddy's hand tightly.

"Mommy!" I cried as I went to her.

"Jessica what are you doing in here?" Aunt Jesse asked, still focused on the task at hand. "You are supposed to be outside."

"I heard mommy scream and it scared me," I said, looking at her. "I don't like her being in pain."

"Well sweetie," Aunt Feona says, coming into the room. "We got to get you out again, so please come with me."

"Okay Aunt Feona," I say, getting up as Aunt Juliana and the rest of the Order of the Stone came in as well.

I waited outside with the others for a long time. I was so anxious about mommy. I don't like seeing her in pain, and there's nothing I can do about it. Soon, I heard a baby crying, and my eyes teared up.

"Jessica, I think your baby brother or sister is born," Uncle Axel says, patting my back. "But we have to wait until Jesse tells us to come in to be sure."

"Okay Uncle Axel," I replied, tears flowing from my eyes. I'm a big sister now!

"Jessica, meet your baby brother!" Aunt Jesse says, coming out with my baby brother in her arms. I squealed as I saw him. He is so cute! He looks kind of like mommy with her hair and daddy with his eyes! I have daddy's hair and mommy's eyes, so we are different that way, but I don't care! I am a big sister and I am so happy!

I ran into the room, finding mommy and daddy in a chair, mommy sleeping in daddy's arms.

"Mommy! Daddy!" I cried, running into mommy's lap. "I'm a big sister now!"

"You sure are pumpkin," daddy says as Aunt Jesse handed my baby brother to him. "You will be a great big sister to your baby brother, I am sure of it."

"How about we go on the adventure later today?" Aunt Juliana says, coming in with coffee.

"Yes that's a good idea," daddy says, getting up. "But before we do so, we have a name for our new son. His name is Samuel Alex Smith."

"Aw, I love it!" Uncle Axel says, looking down at Samuel.

"Welcome to the world Samuel," Aunt Jesse says, and with that, we all went our separate ways so we can let mommy have a nap. What a day this is already!
