Sleep calls to me yet I can't answer,
I struggle to find my way to it,
My head and heart are restless,
Filled with nothing but thoughts of you,
Even though you lay next to me,
Peacefully sleeping oblivious to my tosses and turns,
My mind can't seem to think of anything else,
I think about how when you brush against me,
I feel sparks dance across that spot,
I think about how when you caress my tender skin,
I feel a fire burn within that threatens to consume me,
I think about how when we kiss,
I feel fireworks explode inside my lungs taking all my breath away,
I struggle to get comfortable because every time I turn,
I feel your skin against mine and the sparks dancing,
Lovingly across the parts of me that touch you,
They cause an excitement i have longed to feel,
An excitement I am so glad I get to experience,
With you nothing is the same,
Every boring mundane task I used to dread,
Is now filled with that same excitement knowing I get to share it with you,
Every time I experience something new these days it's by your side,
Everything I have experienced before feels like the first time,
Simply because you are there,
Though I struggle to sleep,
I couldn't be happier,
Because my heart and head are restless,
My mind is filled with nothing but the thoughts of you.
