Do you regret it? I ask
It's not a feeling of regret,
It's a feeling of loss,
Knowing you didn't get the chance to even try,
Making the choice so fast,
I didn't get the chance to regret it. She replies
Does it hurt? I question
It hurts like a sharp knife being plunged into your chest,
It feels like a little part of you is ripped away,
You feel you made the right choice until these feelings flood your heart,
Then comes the ache of what you chose, she replies again
It's an endless battle between your heart and your mind,
You say you made the right choice but your heart screams at you telling you to take it all back,
The thing is the deed has been done and now you can't take it back,
So you deal with the pain and the hatred you now have of yourself,
These are the last words she uttered before she withdrew into herself again.
