I have a fire within that threatens to consume me,
You are the cooling water that calms that raging part of me,
When the world threatens to collapse on me,
You are the pillars that surround and support me,
Sometimes my doubting gets the best of me,
You are the reasoning voice that soothes me,
When my anxiety gets the better of me,
You are the one who talks sense into me,
Most of the time I wonder how I got so lucky,
With finding someone like you who loves me,
I wonder what I did so damn right to deserve you,
I wonder what I could do wrong to lose you,
Most of the time I hold my temper quite well,
Though sometimes I comes out in bursts I can't control,
That's when I see just how much you love me,
As you help me through the darkest parts on my soul.
