A lump on the road caused my head to smack against the window, had woken me up from my lovely nap.

Rubbing my head I sit up and yawn. After stretching I decided to open my window to let fresh air bring its way to my body and sweep away my grogginess. Leaning over to the window, I position myself to rest my chin on my hand while my elbow is on the door. From the corner of my eye, I see Essence knocked out, while Mia is slowly scrolling through her phone, probably reading a book.

Old school R&B continues to play lightly in the background.

Looking around the area I could tell the day was reaching twilight. Few clouds were scattered across the sky with an orange purple and pink hue following pursuit. To whisk away daylight.

The first thing that I noticed while scanning the view outside the window. Was that there were a tremendous amount of trees. So many that it looked like tree-mountains. You know the ones where the hills have super tall trees that exaggerates the size of the hil-Well you catch my drift.

The last time we were surrounded by this many trees was about a year and a half ago. When the family went to visit my grandmother in South Carolina. Mind you it's not the most fun place in the world if your relatives don't live in the city. It's as if there are levels of SC. That just keeps on getting worse the more secluded it is. Starting with the cities being the top best. Towns are second best but still is boring as hell. And finally, there are dirt roads, the worst part about it. It's even worse if there is no internet or cable. I cringe at the thought of only having cousins as your neighbors in one big connected circle.

Not really needing a watch I could usually determine what hour the time is currently in, but right now i'd like to know exactly how long it's been since we started this journey.

Lifting my phone up, I check the time. "8:15 pm" I mutter under my breath. Almost exactly two hours since we first left. That means we're close to the new house.

The breeze brought in a beautiful scent of fresh air and an odd scene of apple pie. The air outside of the city was always crisper and there was never a time where it felt as if there wasn't enough of it. It feels like I could take everything in, which could be a good thing and a bad thing.

The wind caresses my skin delightfully, bringing my head out of a groggy state to a more conscious one. Softly smiling I lean back and close the window sensing a dip in the temperature, due nightfall.

"Hey, guys well be going to a hotel for the night" Dad suddenly says.

I looked up to towards as he continues. "Then once we wake up it'll be a thirty-minute drive to our new place"

Mia and I grumble an okay, while mom continues to snore horribly. Hopefully, he heard us.

The best thing about this whole move is that almost all of our furniture is down, just not in the bedrooms. Hence why we are staying the night at a hotel.

Once we got to the hotel we settled in just one room for the night. Looking up at the sky, the moon looks great greater than what it usually is. The moon will always drag me in but something about tonight makes it feel a lot more unusual.

We finally pull up the new house, and it looks almost exactly like the pictures online. I, personally haven't had the time to go to an open house because I was busy finishing high school. But like I said before...
I've seen pictures. Mind you Essence and I chose the house and the place to stay so, of course, we chose something nice.
