I was simply gallivanting through the woods happily stalking butterflies when I heard a stick crack; on reflex, I crouched and spun around, luckily knocking away the kunai darting towards my heart.
"How many times are we going to do this, Kyona? You try to kill me, I live, I hurt you, you run away and then the process repeats it-Uck!"
A thick vine slammed into my stomach, knocking me into the nearest tree.
"Shut up!" she hissed, yellow eyes narrowing at me angrily. "I will kill you, Whisper!" Kyona snarled, green locks whipping around crazily, imitating the vines.
Okay, so, not too good with my other kekki genkai yet, so...It still wears me out...
I sighed, holding out my hands and willing the water in the earth to rise and then lashing out with it, cutting through the vegetation like a blade. I thought I was starting to win, but then roots sprang up out of the ground and wrapped around my ankles, slowly climbing up and up my body. Despite my efforts, no matter how much I tried, how many roots I cut, more just kept replacing them; it was at my waist now, and if I didn't do something fast, then I was going to get cocooned.
Think, think, think...
I gasped, concentrating hard, and pulled the water from the roots, quickly killing them; at the same time, there was a shout and the sound of birds chirping. I heard Kyona howl in rage, the roots falling limply from my body (they'd been up to my neck by then), and looked up; there was a wall of vines in front of her, Kakashi standing in front of it, his hand plunged through them.
The wall crumbled to the ground and my eyes fixed on the gaping wound on her stomach (she hadn't been close enough for it to go too deep).
"Damnit all," she hissed, backing away quickly from him, vines wrapping around her body quickly. "You got a bodyguard now? How cute. Does he even know what you are?" she smirked through her pain as she sunk into the ground. "Catch ya later, Whisker."

A frown tugged at my lips as I finally looked back at the strange woman; I'd had my suspicions about her being completely human, and what the green-haired girl said had not helped.
Pushing aside my thoughts, I asked her calmly, "Are you alright?"
She just nodded her head, still trying to get her breath back.
"We need to report this to Hokage-sama," I stated, arching my brow fractionally.
"N-no... I-I um... I need to, uh..."
The woman turned and darted off into the foliage, disappearing.
I sighed heavily, making a clone to send after her and running myself to Lord Hokage; I couldn't just leave her, but I had to report the attack.
