April 30th
Cayde sat at his desk. He spun a single playing card effortlessly around his hand. He narrowed his eyes on the card, "Hey Ace, do you remember why I named you Ace?:"
Ace materialized over Cayde's desk, "You said it was a name before. I think it was a name of a little boy you knew back home."
Cayde closed his eyes in frustration, "What was home? I mean my life at home, what was it like?"
Ace tilted it's metal frame in confusion, "Uh um, I don't know? You never mentioned your relations at home."
Cayde crossed his arms while resting his head against them. The room fell silent, 'They warned me about this. I should have listened.'
The towers alarm system screamed for warning. Cayde quickly grabbed his hand cannon off his desk while making a straight shot to the main entrance of the tower.
Cayde quickly pushed his way passed the large crowd of guardians, "What the hell is going on?"
Galtheon stood quietly behind Arya with her team beside her. His Vex body brought anger and fear to the other guardians. Arya took a step forward towards Cayde, "We need your help Cayde. Please!" Her fist tightened and seconds later the surrounding guardians aimed their weapons at Galtheon.
Cayde swung his hands out in command, "Hey wait, stop!" Everyone stood in silence with their eyes on the Vex intruder. Galtheon's glowing white eye slowly swept to the next guardian.
Cayde pointed at the Ryan's group, "Office now, that means your metal friend too!"
Cayde led the fireteam past the large crowd.
Cayde closed the doors leading to the Vanguard office. He quickly looked at the group, "So are you going to explain yourself, or do I have to interrogate the oddly colored Vex goblin?"
Arya took three steps close to Cayde, "Don't you remember why we left?" Cayde held out his hand, "No I mean why did you bring him here. If he knows where we are located then the others know as well."
Galtheon voice screeched as he laughed, 'They already know where you are located. They just have no interest in eliminating humans, just Ryan and his family.'
Cayde laughed slightly, "My point exactly." He paused for a moment, "Wait why?"
Cayde fell silent again as no one answered, "You had to piss the Vex off. The Vex of all races, way to set the bar Ryan."
Arya shook her head, " We need to borrow an Exo shell so Galtheon can become a guardian."
Cayde looked between Arya and Galtheon, "I have never heard of a Vex becoming a guardian. Matter of fact I don't even think it's possible for a Vex to become a guardian. I mean sure he could be an Exo but maybe not a guard-"
Arya stopped Cayde as she formed a fist, "Look, I have a feeling that It's going to work okay." Her grip weakened softly.
Cayde waved his hand effortlessly, "Alright alright we'll give it a shot, but if your Vex friend starts to freak out then we are shutting it down."
Arya's eyes lit up. She quickly hugged Cayde, "Thank you so much, you won't regret it I promise."
Cayde cleared his throat, "Ace would you prepare room 41. We're gonna need a non-used Exo body for our friend here."
Ace materialized in front of Cayde. Ace spun around only to make eye contact with Galtheon. Ace twitched then focused his attention towards Cayde again, "Sir there's a V-"
Cayde shot his hand towards Ace, "I'm aware of its present. Please just retrieve the Exo shell."
Ace nodded before dissapearing in thin air.
