Leaning my back against the white brick wall, I sigh loudly and pull my knees up to my chest, wrapping my arms around them loosely.
"Mother, I'm sorry for trying to hit you. Please come back. I'm alone and I'm fed up with feeling lonely. I want someone with me. I want to go home." I whisper.
There's a sharp gentle breeze and my mother appears in front of me, her hands clasped on her stomach and her cream dress floating down to her ankles by her bare feet. Her face is pale, with slight wrinkles under her eyes.
"You can't go home yet. You need to talk with your Uncle."
"Why?"
"You are going to see them as children, you will see the love they share as they bond like brothers."
There's a flash and I stand in a gold corridor, Asgardian. The sound of giggling and squealing fills the empty hallways. Stepping through carefully, I stop outside a golden archway.
In the middle of the huge hall, two small boys are playing tag. One boy has short blonde hair, his face pale with sparkling eyes full of hope. He's stronger then the other boy, his arms thicker and he runs faster. Thor. The other boy is smaller, with jet black hair and his eyes dark. Loki. Both boys are wearing dark clothes, with boots. They laugh as they chase each other around the room, stretching out their arms and squealing loudly.
I smile as I step into the room, sitting on the tiled floor and watching them.
Thor chases Loki, he touches him lightly but Loki trips. He lands face first on the floor, Thor skids to a stop beside him and kneels. Loki looks up at him, with tear filled eyes but he doesn't let them out.
"Forgive me, Loki, I didn't mean to push you." Thor admits, his voice small and high.
"It was an accident. You always win, Thor." Loki whispers.
"You don't put up much a fight, that is why. You should try harder and you'll do better. Don't worry, I will always protect you, because you're my brother"
Loki jumps slightly at the word 'brother' and smiles. Thor slips his arms around Loki and hugs him tight. The two ten year olds hug for a long minute. Then they pull away, Thor stands up and offers his hands to Loki, pulling him onto his feet too.
"Come on Loki!" Thor's childish voice exclaims.
Thor takes Loki's hand and starts to run around the room, pulling Loki after him. Thor stops suddenly, walking to the furthest wall.
"Let's race. I bet I can run faster then you." Thor teases.
"It's on, brother." Loki says, smiling at the name.
They both place one palm on the wall, bending their knees and glancing at each other.
"On 3. 1, 2, 3."
Thor pushes off, starting to run the huge distance. There's a green light and Loki is already stood at the other end of the room. Loki gasps in shock, Thor stops abruptly, both boys don't believe what they've just seen. Loki glances down at his feet, then back at Thor.
"What did I do?" Loki asks.
Thor stares at Loki, his eyes full of curiosity and shock. Loki examines his feet, lifting them and running his hands along the soles of his boots.
"You have a gift, Loki." Thor points out.
Loki lifts his head, his eyes filled with tears and fear.

"But Uncle, I want my presents now!" Little me whines.
5 year old me crosses her legs on the floor, folding her arms and pouting her lips. She's wearing a pink dress, that reaches to her shins with a net skirt underneath, her black hair in loose curls onto her shoulders.
