Olly and I spoke for a while in my room, and watched YouTube.
She soon left so she could ask her mother if I could stay, and what was for dinner.
An hour later, Olly bounds up the stairs with a smile on her face.
Yes!
"Did she say yes?!" I said, putting one hand on her shoulder, the other fixing her hair, which was now a mess.
"WE'RE HAVING HOMEMADE MAC AND CHEESE FOR DINNER!!"
I raised my eyebrows.
"Oh, and she said you could stay for as long as you need to."
I hugged her. I don't think she noticed that I noticed, but she winced a bit when I hugged her.
"Can you excuse me for a second?" She said.
I nodded, smiled, and walked to my room. I sat on the window frame for a bit. I checked the time. I had been staring at nothing for fifteen minutes. I wonder if Olly does that.
Wait, Olly.
What is she doing?
I hopped off the window frame and walked over to her door.
Glow and the dark stars decorated her door, along with a drawing of her bird.
I opened the door.
"Hey, Olly! What-"
I gasped.
Olly was wearing a binder. She looked up, terror in her eyes. Tears started to trail down her cheeks, and her face turned deep red.
"I- Um- I c-can explain.."
I walked over to her and enveloped her in a bear hug.
She started to sob into my shoulder.
I pulled back.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked, brushing her blonde hair out of her face.
"I didn't know if you would hate me... like.." She looked away, but I knew instantly who she was talking about.
I wiped a tear from her eye.
"She's behind us now. Don't worry about her." I whispered softly.
She nodded and hugged me again.
We hugged for who knows how long.
"Shay! Olly! Supper is almost ready, so wash up please!"
I shouted back in agreement.
We pulled away, and she picked up the shirt she was going to put on.
"Hurry up. You don't wan't to miss the Mac and cheese." I said, grinning at her teasingly. She stuck out her tongue at me. I shut the door and headed for the bathroom.
