-two weeks later- (iM IN THE LIVING ROOM STRESSING-)

Olly is home now. She got home yesterday. The day after we saved the kittens, we brought her laptop to her so she could still do school. I did it with her. At break, we'd play Kahoot (and I would DESTROY HER AT IT).

We named the five kittens, too. The biggest was Angie, the second largest was Eliza, and the third was Peggy. Olly has a Hamilton obsession. The second smallest was Benny, and the smallest was Megs. Olly has a Canadian internet friend named Megan, so we Skyped her when we named them.

I was sitting on the floor in my bedroom, in front of the kitten's box. I was petting Peggy. They all had opened their eyes, and were walking around. I cut up a box that used to hold a fridge and laid a towel down. Their food and water was there. The cat litter was in the closet.
Olly walked in suddenly. She came in and sat next to me.
"Wanna hold one? They're your cats too." I said.
"Oh my ice cubes of course I want to."
I picked up Benny and handed him to her. He mewed in surprise.
Olly held him in the palms of her hands, and just stared at him.
She looked from me, to Benny and started crying. She was laugh-crying.

I logged off of my computer. I just finished a day of school. I went down to the kitchen to grab a juice box.
"nO!!"
I stopped what I was doing. I heard Olly's voice ringing from outside.
I ran out the back door, ready to square up who ever was hurting my best friend.
I found Olly talking with her dad.
"It's gotta happen. Your appointment is tomorrow." He said, and walked toward the lawnmower.
Olly saw me and walked over to me dramatically. She slumped onto me.
"What's your problem?" I asked her, holding her steady.
"I have to get BRACES!!" She cried.
I stared at her for a moment.
"That's it?"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT'S IT?!
I CAN'T EAT POPCORN, GUM, OR JOLLY RANCHERS FOR A YEAR!!" She cried.
"It'll be perfectly fine. Your teeth will look even straighter than they are now, unlike your personality." I said, smirking.
She burst out laughing, just like I hoped she would.
She slung an arm around my shoulder. "You know I can't resist queer humour."

I knew in that moment, I'm where I belong.
I'm home.
