NEW BEGINNINGS
(Fast forwarding because we all know what happens in the Outsiders to Johnny and to Dally. Along with that I had MAJOR writers block LOL)
Wandering was a strange thing. Never knowing where your legs are going to take you. It's an odd thing, really. Especially when you loose someone close to you. Wandering took over Dally when Johnny died. Now here I am, wandering the streets.
My heart yearned for Dally. I missed him more than a child missed their teddy bear. His golden necklace lived around my neck, the only reminder I have of him other than his car. I lived on the other side of town now with Bob's parents. I don't call them mom and dad, they insist that I do, but they also understand why I don't. They took custody of me after Dally passed because they thought that after me loosing Dally and loosing Bob it was the right thing to do. I don't mind it. They allow the gang to come over and see me, especially Ponyboy. They adore him as much as I do. a small smile curled at the end of my lips at the thought of him.
I heard a low rumble of a car before turning around to catch a glimpse of it. An emerald green Mustang filled my sight. The driver, however, looked like he belonged in a museum with marble sculptures. His face looked like it was chiseled effortlessly. I eyed the mustang as it slowly came to a halt beside me. The driver shot me a grin.
"Hi there!" I was taken back by how charming he actually looked. His tan skin and puffy hair that curled in every direction possible. But his eyes. His eyes pierced through you like it knew all your deepest darkest secrets, a pale blue that didn't match any of his other features.
"Hiya," I said quietly. I couldn't quite take my eyes off him, his eyes intrigued me.
"What's your name?" He was as curious with me as I was with him. I shrugged.
"Wouldn't you like to know," I snapped at him a bit.
"What a name!" he said with a chuckle. I rolled my eyes at his sarcastic remark. "I'm Randy," he said with a nod.
"Didn't ask, don't care," I crossed my arms. I was wasting my time. He shook his head at me.
"Man, you are fiery," I chuckled to myself. Dal and I were alike, but this was spot on. "Can you please just tell me?"
I shook my head, "you'll find out soon enough." He raised his eyebrow in confusion as I walked in front of the car and into the house across the street.
I opened the front door slowly as I enter it quietly. I closed the door behind me and snuck upstairs without letting them know I was home. I went into my new room and went over to my bed before melting into it, breaking the silence that lurked with the sounds of sobs. I wanted Dally back. I slowly reached for the phone that sat on my nightstand and dialed the Curtis' number. A familiar voice answered the call.
"Hello?" It was Darry.
"Darry? it's Harley. Is Ponyboy there?" My voice cracked.
"He's right here," he gave the phone to Ponyboy and he answered happily. "Harley! how ya doin'?" I wanted to lie, I wanted to tell Pony I was fine. I didn't want him to worry about me. I was silent for a minute. "Har?" His voice laced with worry.
"N-Yea, I'm fine," I bit my lip.
"Harley."
I hummed to let him know I was still on the line. He had caught my lie.
"You're not okay. I can hear it in your voice." He said truthfully.
"So?"
"So? Harley-" He began to get frustrated with me.
"Can you please come over?" You could hear my lip starting to quiver as I spoke.
"I'll be over in five," he said quickly as he hung up the phone. The line produced a defining silence as I slowly hung it up. I paced around my bedroom, trying to ease my thoughts. Millions of memories of Dally and I broke through the flood gates of my mind.
I heard a knock on my door, Monica spoke softly, "Harley, dear, you have a visitor." I looked up at the door and opened it slowly. My eyes landed on her with a smile and a nod.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, sweetie. Just let me know if you need anything," I nodded her a thank you as she walked back down stairs.
Pony walked up me and embraced me in a hug. His aroma filled my nose as I buried my face in his chest. His muscular arms tensed up around me.
"You'll be okay," he whispered to me softly. I closed my eyes tightly trying to catch my breath.
"P-Pony," I shook my head. "I miss him so much," I choked out.
"I know," he rubs my back slowly while planting a kiss on the top of my head. he repeated himself, slowly rocking me back and forth. He pulled away, his arms still snaked around me. I wiped away the salty tears that had stained my face. He pushed hair some out of my face, "you're beautiful."
I rolled my eyes before giggling, "not a good time, Pony." He smiles and held my face in his hands, examining it. I grinned.
God how I loved this boy.
