Avery's POV
I finally turned on the TV.
I personally didn't want to, but it's boring sitting in a basement. Being chained and not being able to move. I can't even piss without those 2 assholes watching me.
There was nothing that I watch on the tv so i just turned to the news channel and cranked up the volume to bother the hell out of John.
He's such a dick. He's a thousand times worse that the other one. Hayden.
"And in other news that has hit international news: Daughter (Avery) of Allison and Jonathan Barclay owners of Barclay Bank has been kidnapped. Sources say that she and her friend Kaleigh Matthews were coming home from the mall when they were thrown into a van. The same source said that Kaleigh escaped, but nothing has been said about Avery. We'll take you outside the police station that has Kaleigh, her parents, and the Barclay's with Megan Scott right after this commercial."
I completely zoned out after that. That's what happened to Kaleigh. She got away. I hope she's able to tell the cops where they were before they moved. They could be able to find prints and trace it to here?
Doubt it. John's like the mastermind behind this. This farmhouse is probably in someone else's name. I basically have no chance of survival.
"CAN YOU SHUT UP FOR 5 FUCKING MINUTES JOHN! YOU FORCE ME TO BE HERE SO I AM GOING TO CHECK UP ON YOUR PRISONER!" Hayden yelled
I guess he opened the door. Otherwise I doubt I would be able to here him that clear.
Then something slammed into me like a train.
"your prisoner." That probably played in my head multiple times.
I mean I already have had the feeling that Hayden didn't actually consent to this. Those words made my suspicions practically confirmed. Unless Hayden is pissed.
His foot steps pounded down the stairs and he walked around the corner.
As he approached it was easier to see that his face was red and there was a bruise and cut on his arm. Probably from fighting John.
I really just can't get over my hatred for John. When this is all over her deserves the death penalty. He's sadistic.
"Need anything?" Hayden asked in monotone.
"Well if it's not to much trouble I would like 2 things." And cue the growling stomach "maybe 3." I said with a small smile.
"Name it." He said. Again in monotone. No expression change.
"I need to go to the bathroom, I would like water, and some food." I said sweetly
Sighing he pulled out a key from his pants and bent down. The key easily fit in the hole and when it turned it created a nice opening for my ankle to
slide out.
I slid my ankle out easily and rubbed it. The freaking metal constantly against it was annoying.
We both stood up me I walked to the bathroom and closed the door.
I used the toilet but didn't flush yet. I'm trying to spare as much time away from the chain as possible.
I ran water over my face and when I looked in the mirror I didn't see the person that I am accustomed to seeing.
The girl in the mirror had bags under her eyes, (bloodshot might I add), hair sticking up everywhere, greasy face. Basically the complete opposite of the Avery that someone see in school or out in public.
"COME ON LET'S GO!" Hayden shouted through the door and began knocking.
I flushed the toilet and washed my hands quickly. When I opened the door Hayden was standing there with his arms crossed.
"All girls are the same. Take forever in the damn bathroom." He muttered and grabbed my arm.
He hooked me back up to the chain and went upstairs to get me whatever meal this should be.
I looked up to the windows. We were in the basement, but there were the ones that are near the ceiling and are rectuangular. It was light outside and it didn't look like it was going to get dark soon. I'm going to go with it's about lunch time.
The door upstairs creaked open and there were footsteps coming down. The hair on the back of my neck stood on edge.
When the person turned the corner I couldn't say I was shocked that it was John. He's probably here to give me emotional pain.
John walked slowly and set the water bottle and plate down on the ground next to the mattress. He then backed away a few feet.
"You know, I would have figured you would have asked for a shower." He said
"You thought wrong." I spat
I glanced down at the plate and was surprised at what I saw. Normally I would get a sandwhich. Today however I got food that looked like it was from a restaurant. There was a wrap and a bunch of fries sitting on the plate.
John must have seen the look on my face. "Hayden and I got some food from a restaurant in town. We decided to get you something for when you were hungry. You didn't eat anything yesterday. Slept the whole day actually."
All I did was nod. I really wanted to be alone. I wanted to turn the news back on.
"I'll leave you to eat." John smiled and left.
Thank god. Sometimes just seeing his face makes me want to throw up. Although it doesn't ruin my appetite since I haven't ate anything in a day.
I grabbed the bottle and plate, and sat in down in front of me. Then I quickly grabbed the remote and turned on the TV.
So basically I are lunch (I think) and watched TV. Almost like I was at home. Only problem was
I'm sitting in a basement in the middle of no where.
There's a sadistic physcopath and what I believe is his captive partner upstairs.
I'm chained and can't move.
And best of all,
There's no way that I will ever be found.
Life couldn't get any better. Right?

Filler chapter. I wanted to make it longer but I mean it's been a week since the last chapter was up.
Yesterday was the last day of school. I'll miss all my 8th grade friends so much.
Make sure to vote for it if you liked!
I'll get the next chapter as soon as possible, but my wattpad app crashes every time I try to write.
