Aaron Hotchner POV
"What do we got?" I asked as I stepped under the yellow caution tape.
"2 girls age 17 kidnapped as they were walking out of the mall. Cameras 134 and 137 caught it on film. Shopping bags were left on the ground and one of the victims cars was left here right over there." Morgan said moving his thumb toward a black Toyota.
I walked over toward the car. JJ was over there and she probably has some information about the victims and this car.
"JJ! Know anything about the vics?"
"Kaleigh Matthews age 17 attended North Valley High. She is the owner of the car. She's 5'5, brown hair, blue eyes, and about 120 pounds. Parents Ben and Marlene Matthews are on their way right now." She said while flipping over a page.
"Other vic is Avery Barclay age 17 also attends North Valley High. As far as the record goes Avery doesn't have a license or permit. She is 5'3, blonde hair, brown eyes, and approximately 125 pounds. Parents Jonathan and Allison Barclay were notified and are on their way back from Paris. They own Barclay Bank so they were away on business for a few weeks. Avery was staying at Matthews' house." She said looking exhausted.
Grabbing some gloves from the kit on the ground I leaned down to look in the shopping bags. There were 2 bags from Barnes and Noble, 1 from Victoria's Secret, and 3 from Hollister.
I took my gloved hand and looking inside the bags. The Barnes and Noble bags held 4 books. "The Man in the Coffee Shop", "What I saw Last Summer", "Last Man Standing", "Altered", and a slip for a preorder of the book "City of Heavenly Fire". The Victoria's Secret bag had pink and black undergarments, and the Hollister bags had an assortment of woman's clothing.
"I don't understand." Morgan said standing above me.
"What are you talking about?" I said standing back up becoming face to face with him.
"2 girls were kidnapped outside of a crowded mall just outside of their small hometown. No one saw anything. There were no traceable skid marks and there are no prints." Derek exclaimed.
"I know it's frustrating but we got to work it like any other case." I said calmly.
"HOTCH come here." JJ screamed
Turning around I saw a man and a woman standing near her. The woman was blowing on a tissue and the man was trying to comfort her. I assumed they were Kaleigh's parents since Avery's were in Paris.
"Hello I'm Aaron Hotchner, unit chief of the Behavioral Analysis Unit in Quantico. You must be Kaleigh's parents?" I said
The woman nodded in response trying to hold back tears. "I'm Ben Matthews and this is my wife Marlene." The man said holding out his hand.
I shook it "We are going to have an officer take you back to the station and soon my team and I will be back so we can interview you."
I raised my hand signaling for a cop to come over and when one did "Escort Mr. And Mrs. Matthews to the station please."
The officer guided them over to one of the police cruisers sitting near the back of the parking lot.
"Hotch. C'mon were leaving." Rossi said coming up behind me.
Turning around I followed Rossi to the closest black Suburban and got into the drivers seat. I shoved the keys into the ignition and pulled out of the mall parking lot.
