ABOVE IS KALEIGH
ENJOY!Kaleigh's POV
The hypnosis session didn't help much. I never saw the kidnappers faces and never took notice to the buildings as I ran past. All I wanted to do was leave that place. And do I regret not trying to get Avery? Yes, I do. However, there was no way to tell when they would be back and I honestly didn't want to take a major risk like that.
I wanted to desperately help in the rescue of my lifelong best friend. But there wasn't much I could do. There were reports called into the station but they all turned up dry. In all honesty I don't think Avery's coming back soon. It's horrible to say, but the investigation has hit the point when their very best is no longer good enough.
Here I sat at the stupid precinct as if someway, somehow I'll remember the first and last names of our attackers, the address, and phone numbers that the officers could contact them at. I could be at home searching the Internet for different condos and maybe some of it will jog memories. If I even utter that out loud, the FBI agents will put a computer in my lap and force me to go through Google maps directions for the next half of the day.
"Kaleigh?" A voice asked.
I looked up and saw Agent Hotchner standing before me.
"Would you and your parents like to come in the conference room? It's probably a lot quieter and you can think things over." He said
Mom and dad quickly got up and gathered their things and began walking to the conference room down the dark hallway. I was not so quick about any of this.
All that would happen in the conference room is agents bustling in and out bothering me about the latest events and my parents pushing me to talk. I don't think that I will be able to take any of it anymore. But I silently grabbed my coat and walked toward the conference room.
My mom and dad were huddled around their laptops and it looked like they were doing teaching plans. Maybe they thought that the whole staying in a precinct thing was a complete waste of time too. They'll eventually go back to work when it becomes countless days that they have lost pay over. I don't even think I'll get my car back! They have had it impounded for 2 weeks.
The door to the conference room opened and agents Hotchner , Reid, and 2 others I didn't recognize came in.
"Mr and Mrs Matthews, Kaleigh, this Agent Jennifer Jareau and Agent Derek Morgan. We have a few more questions to ask of you." Agent Hotchner said.
Anger flared inside and I glared toward the four of them.
"These questions are primarily for you Mr and Mrs Matthews. It's about your perception of Avery and her parents." Agent Reid stated.
"Wow, uhm okay..." Mom drifted off looking a little surprised.
They all walked to the far end of the table and sat in a huddle. All of them began scrolling through their tablets until they found what they need to proceed. The male agent Derek looked up at me.
"You don't have to be here if you don't want to. We can have a officer escort you to the break room. I know this process has been hard on you."
I smiled a little, "Oh no, I'll stay since I'm the person being interrogated this time."
Agent Morgan nodded curtly and glanced at his colleagues to make sure they were ready. After Agent Hotchner had looked up, Morgan asked the first question.
