I hide.
I paint on smiles made of sunshine.
I compose musical laughter that
spills out of my mouth.
I flaunt a mask
Of a girl who is at peace with herself.
But what lies underneath
My cheerful porcelain facade?
A girl
who is tired
so very tired.
Shattered pieces
And whirlwinds of anxiety.
I'm fractured
My mask is breaking
And I'm scared
of people seeing
what
is
beneath.
A/N: I apologize for the lack of updates- school has been so time-consuming, and life has been tiring. But I'm back, and I will continue to make new poems for you all every chance I get! I love you all!
