Veronica had worked hard to prepare this party for Nick, she just hoped it would all be worth it.

Everyone on her list arrived, the party was being in Cheryl's friend's house because she was nice even to offer. And it seemed like the party seemed to be going to a nice start.

But now, Cheryl stood in a small corner watching everyone dancing and having a good time.

She wanted to have a nice time, be that party girl she used to be.

But a part of her couldn't even move.

She was so screwed up, and that one secret was killing her bit by bit.

"What are you doing missing out on the fun?" Nick said standing beside her.

"I'm just not in a party mood," she told him.

Cheryl spied on Joaquin and Kevin's conversation on the group chat. She believed too that Nick was trouble and this party would probably somehow end up in disaster.

"Want a drink?" He asked holding her's out to her.

"No thanks," Cheryl told him afraid that it had some kind of poison in it.

"Who's that?" Nick asked pointing at Betty who was now talking to Kevin about something.

"Oh her? That's Betty" Cheryl told him "you know in the group chat she was Juliet488."

"And her boyfriend's Romeo?" Nick asked.

"Yep," Cheryl replied.

Nick laughed, which sounded cruel "don't they know that they're basing their names off of two lovers who killed themselves?"

"It's their decision if they want to base their usernames off of them, not yours" she snapped.

"I know," Nick said.

But Cheryl didn't think he really did.

"Why were you even asking?" She asked.

"I was just curious," he said, "plus, I'm leaving anyway."

After Nick left Cheryl sighed, wondering how Veronica was even friends with him.

As soon as Kevin left Betty Nick came holding another drink in his hand.

"Mind if I sit?" He asked.

"Sure" She replied.

Betty thought it might be nice to get to know Nick. He was one of Veronica's best friends after all.

"Want a drink?" He asked holding his out to her.

"Oh, I couldn't," Betty told him.

"Come on," he said smiling.

Betty rolled her eyes playfully "fine."

She took his drink but didn't drink out of it.

"So, how long have you known Veronica?" She asked.

"A few years" Nick replied his eyes wandering around the room, "say, your dating that guy Jughead right?"

She nodded slowly, wondering why he was even asking.

"And are you two thinking about breaking up or anything?" Nick asked.

Betty laughed, "no, did Veronica tell you that we were or something?"
