The sun started to set, the sky started to get darker, and everyone was beginning to start winding down.
Joaquin had given Kevin a T-shirt with their ship name "Joavin" on it for Valentine's Day.
And, it became his new favorite shirt.
Even though Valentine's Day was over, Kevin wanted to give him something else in return.
He wanted to save the present for his birthday, but he just wanted to see the look on Joaquin's face first.
Joaquin was sharing a room with Cheryl, and as of now, she was taking a shower so he had a few minutes.
Kevin grabbed the doorknob, his hands drenched with sweat.
"You can do this," he told himself "just calm down."
Kevin then opened the door seeing Joaquin changing his shirt.
Kevin turned away trying to be polite when really he wanted to get closer to him.
"Oh, I'm um...I'm sorry," he told him.
"It's fine" he heard Joaquin reply "you don't have to turn away like that you know."
Caustically, Kevin turned to face him and sadly he had a shirt on now.
"I was just changing into my pajama shirt," Joaquin told him "what's up."
Kevin's throat went dry. He wasn't sure why he was so nervous, but being in love with someone as special as Joaquin always had that effect on him.
Joaquin sat down on the bed and patted the spot next to him "come on, you can talk about it."
Kevin sat down, still keeping the small bag behind himself "I-I was going to save this for your birthday, b-but I thought it would be like a late Valentine's Day present."
"Oh Kev, you didn't have to do that" Joaquin told him making Kevin's heart skip a beat with his soft tone.
"No, no I wanted too" he replied giving the small box to him.
Joaquin hesitated, but Kevin gave him a playful nudge.
Joaquin practically tore open the box until he saw what was inside.
Two tickets to a Troye Sivan concert.
"I also got us backstage passes," Kevin told him "so, we'll probably get to meet him."
Joaquin was in awe. No one has ever done anything this nice for him before. Not Toni, not F.P, not even his damn parents.
Kevin watched him, did he not like it? What was he going to do next? Was he going to punch him in the face?
Before Kevin could blink another eyelid, Joaquin wrapped his arms around him tightly.
"Thank you" he whispered "no one's ever done anything that nice for me. Ever."
Kevin patted him lightly on the back "no problem, I'll do anything for someone I love."
Joaquin pulled out of the embrace, then crashing his lips into Kevin's.
The two lovers sat there, kissing and kissing each other, both filled with plenty of passion and happiness.
Nothing could ruin this moment.
Well, except Cheryl Blossom.
"Get a room will you!" She said making them tear apart.
Cheryl had a white towel over herself and rolled her eyes gesturing for Kevin to leave.
Kevin rolled his eyes at the red-haired girl in return. Then placing a short kiss on Joaquin's cheek.
"I love you" he mouthed to the Serpent while he got up.
"I love you too" Joaquin mouthed back before Kevin was gone.
"What happened?" Cheryl asked.
Joaquin clutched the tickets against his heart "the best thing ever."
Ya know, next chapter is going to be very SAD and DRAMATIC so get readyyyyyyy
