1968. London, England.
After months had passed, The Beatles haven't spoken to The Monkees since the incident that occurred in the recording studio. In the meantime, The Monkees did, in fact, fire their manager, and they released a new album that hit #1 in the Billboard charts for about a week, until it was immediately replaced with The Beatles' new album, Sgt. Pepper's.
The Beatles were busy too. Not only did they release a new album, they worked out new management, and they even made another movie entitled Magical Mystery Tour. It didn't do too well in the box office compared to their previous movies, but they were still proud of it.
One day, the lads were just sitting around their apartment, brainstorming some new ideas for a new album.
"Guys! Guys! Check it out! The Monkees made a movie!" Ringo exclaimed to the lads, frantically waving a newspaper in his hand.
"What?!" Paul exclaimed.
They all gathered around and read the newspaper article, and Ringo was right. The Monkees released a new movie called, Head.
"'Head'?" John mocked. "What kind of ridiculous name is that?"
"Apparently it didn't do too well in the box office," George pointed out.
"Well neither did our movie," Paul admitted.
"That still doesn't give them the right to copy our every move!" John yelled. "The second they realize they're failing, they run to us for new ideas to steal!"
"Oh give the young lads a break, John," Paul said. "Their show just got cancelled, they fired their management, and they're just trying to survive."
John scoffed and stormed out of the room.
Deep down, the others knew that John had a point.
"Can they get away with this?" George asked.
"Well, there's no serious proof that they are copying us," Paul analyzed. "They are good lads, we should just let them be."
George and Ringo agreed and continued to brainstorm.
