1968. Los Angeles, California.

"Hey, guys! Our movie review is in the paper!" Davy shouted.

The other Monkees excitedly gathered around. But once they read the review, their smiles suddenly faded.

"'A box office disaster'?!" Mike read angrily. "We worked so hard on that movie and all we get is 'a box office disaster'?!"

"Hey look," Davy pointed out. "There's the review for The Beatles' movie! Looks like it didn't do too well either!"

"Yeah, but it still got a better rating than our movie," Micky snapped. "I'm so sick of them always being one step ahead of us. Like last year, we finally get an album to be #1 in the Billboard charts, and they replace it within a week!"

"Yeah!" Mike agreed. "We work just as hard as they do, and we deserve more credit!"

"Our movie was a lot more meaningful than their stupid movie about some bus!" mocked Peter.

"You know, sometimes I wish we were them," Micky said. "I wish we were the ones who made it to the top and stayed. I wish we were the ones who won over everyone's hearts."

"Yeah," agreed Davy. "We would be on top of the world."

"And no one would be able to stop us," added Mike.

"And everyone would remember us," Peter smiled.

When the boys went to sleep that night, they wished extremely hard that their dreams would come true. All they wanted was to become The Beatles. They wanted the fame, the attention, the glory, and the legacy.

They wished and wished until they all drifted off to sleep.
