Chapter 13

Riley's POV

As I stepped inside the library I met with the smell of books.

"Should we find it?" I asked

"Yeah"

"You know Ryder. I am curious about this book. Like really curious. Is this a prank or is this real? That book scared the hell out of me when I was not in control." I explained

"I'm really curious too Riley. It's like that book is a magnet and keeps bringing me to it. I just need to see that book one last time and I'll be okay. Something is telling me to go to the book and I can't seem to decline." Ryder said

He's acting so strange? What's happening to him? His eyes look blood shot and he looks so desperate. I see beads of sweat trickle down his forehead.

"Ryder I think we should sit down. Your kind of scaring me." I asked

"No!" He yelled

He grabbed my arm and tossed me across the room. When I felt my back connect with the wall I yelled in pain.

"Aghhhhh."

How could he do that? I thought he was a nice person. I knew his personality was bad. Thank god I finally realized. I started to cry. They were tears of pain and sadness. For some reason I was so sad and mad that Ryder could do such a thing. I looked up at Ryder's raging face. He started coming towards me.

What's he gonna do? I started panting harder and harder.

Ryder's POV

I felt evil and desperation swirling inside me. I looked at the Riley laying on the ground crying her life out. I laughed evilly. I grabbed her from her collar and picked her up. I looked straight into her eyes. Wow she has pretty eyes. Why the hell did I say that. I'm suppose to hurt her. I was about to punch her when all of a sudden something changed. I felt love and hurt flowing in my veins. What's happening?

Riley's POV

I started screaming like crazy trying to wiggle out of his grasp. All of a sudden he dropped me to the ground. I heard him moan loudly.

"Nooooooooo!" he moaned

I saw something black get sucked out of his body and disappear. Ryder collapsed to the ground. His breathing was hard. He was shivering like crazy. I still was afraid but I took all my courage and crawled towards him.

"Ryder are you okay?"

I started to cry again. I didn't like seeing him this way. Why did he act like that? The ghost book! That black thing might have controlled me too

"Riley. Please don't cry." He groaned

I cried even harder. I felt his hand wipe my tears away.

"Don't you ever cry like that again. It hurts me like a knife sticking through me." He said

I smiled. I slowly helped him to his feet.

"What was that Ryder?" I asked

I felt him hug me tightly.

"I don't know Riley. I am so sorry Riley. I would never hurt you. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." He cried

"Ryder it's okay. I think that black thing was what controlled me and you." I told him

"What black thing?"

"Something black sucked out of you. It looked so evil." I said

I felt my phone vibrate in my jeans. I took it out and looked at the text. It was from Vicky.

Vicky: What's taking so long. Hurry up!

Riley: We are comin

"Ryder we should go now"

He nodded.

My phone started ringing. ughhh. I took my phone out of my pocket and answered it.

"Vicky I told you we're coming!" I screamed into the phone

"This is not Vicky."

My eyes widened. The voice was the most scariest thing I ever heard.

"Get out as fast as you can Riley or your doomed. Muah ha ha ha! Once your in it's harder to get out Riley." The harsh voice said.

I dropped my phone. I was too scared to even bother picking it up.I grabbed Ryder's hand and ran to the door. We were almost out when the door slammed close by it self.

"Riley who was that?" Ryder asked in a serious voice.

"I don't know but whoever they were they had the most scariest voice I've ever heard." I said
