8. Comfort in Him

I pushed him away and ran away bumping into a Daniel. "H-hey are you okay " he asked me I just fell to the ground crying my heart out. "I don't want to be here anymore I don't want to be here anymore"I repeated it to myself and Daniel tried helping me up. "Come let's go before we cause a scene " he pulled me away from the crowd and inside the school getting me some water. "So what happened" he asked rubbing my back pulling me close to him. I looked at him with puffy eyes and tears threatening to fall down . I didn't say anything and I took comfort in the silence. "Thank you "I said my voice was raspy "It's okay I'm always here for you "he smiled towards me making me crack a little smile. "You're an angel Daniel "I laughed nuzzling into him more. "Should we go back now?"I nodded getting up walking outside where all our friends were. "Hey shorty are you okay "Zack came up to me with a motherly Mira and Zoe. "Are you okay your eyes are puffy and you have tear streaks down your cheeks"Mira check my face looking at my body for injuries. "I'm fine just tired "I sighed. "Hey Vasco Why don't you give her a piggyback ride"Jace nudged him and Vasco stiffened up "H-hey I'll do it"Zack interrupted "No I think I could do it "Daniel said and I just was confused and laughing "I'll go with Vasco I'm probably too heavy for you guys I wouldn't want to break your backs how about you guys carry Mira and Zoe"I walked over to Vasco climbing on his back. "Wow this is so much fun!" I held onto him and we started walking to my house. Tae was just videotaping me laughing. "Welcome to the world of tall people"I just rolled my eyes feeling a little bit better after what had happened. "Let's have a night on the town guys!"Zoe yelled. "But listen do you have though"Tae said looking at her with a sarcastic expression. "Yes meanie"she pulled out a ton of money and we all cheered. "Finally put that body of yours to use"Zack mumbled under his breath and Zoe punched his chest. "No I didn't I did chores for these babies"she stuck her tongue out and we all laughed. "Hey Vasco can you go faster"I started bouncing like the impatient child I am. He ran and I held on tight while everyone just tried to catch up. "That was awesome!!"I asked Vasco to let me down and I looked over at Daniel that was out of breath with Zoe almost falling off. When she got down I went over to him and stood in front of him embarrassed. "Hey I wanted to thank you again for comforting me I was really a mess wasn't I but thanks"I kissed his cheek blushing walking back to Tae. "I saw that"Tae nudged me and I just rolled my eyes laughing. "Whatever"we all had fun that night and me and Daniel were closer than ever.
