Bleeding Souls

Ch. 9-The most beautiful flower...Rose.

      Why, hello there! Welcome to Chapter 9. This will be another positive chapter. Are you ready? Of course you are, you wouldn't be here if you weren't. So, lets begin. Fast forward a year, we start the 8th grade with my social studies class. The teacher was Mrs. Newsom, she was very kind and caring, a very sweet woman. But again this is not about her. It was here that I would meet someone who is very down to earth and courageous, someone who has been through a lot but keeps her head up no matter life throws at her. Her name was Rose.

      We sat on the first row from the left of the wall and she sat in front of me. I tapped her on the back and introduced myself.  She had incredible green eyes, orangy brown, hair, an incredible smile and an incredible sense of humor. Every time she smiled it reminded me that there is good in this world. She reminded me that it is alright to put my faith in other people. She taught me the meaning of friendship and to always understand what people could be going through because you never know what people have gone through in their lifetime. 

     She never ceased to amaze me, no matter what hardship came her way she never let it get in her way, she pushed on against the insurmountable odds. She faced the tidal wave of darkness head on. She never let her past define who she was. But she wasn't alone. I would be there to help her as she was there for me so many times before and many more times to come. She was a part of my family as much as Amber and Alyssa were. I will always have her back like she has mine. I will always be proud of who she is and what she has overcome. Because of Rose, I know no matter what people would say to me or do to me, it would never take away from who I AM. It would take me a while to learn this lesson, there would be more times when I would fall, but she was there to pick me up when I needed it the most.

     I will never be able to thank you enough for all the things you have done Rose. I owe you big time. I am proud of who you are and I cannot wait to see where you will go. No matter what gets in your way I know you will never let it define who you are or stop who you will become in the world. Never forget that you helped save my life time and time again. I will always have your back no matter what. You are brave...

This is the end of Chapter 9... be ready the next chapter will be another hard one for me to talk about. But no matter how much pain it causes me to go back and re-live the nightmares and the pain...it must be done. See you in the next one.
