Surprisingly, today is pretty calm. No Hydra attacks, aliens, or prison escapes. The only thing relatively exciting was when Thor smashed the television. He claimed it was an accident, but you think it happened because he was trying to get the poptarts from a commercial.
Since the television was shattered, you were curled up in a fluffy blanket with hot chocolate, watching YouTube on your phone. Those twenty-minute vine compilations were super addicting. You were perfectly content. Nothing could go wrong.
The Internet stopped.
"TONY!!!!! THE INTERNET ISN'T WORKING!!!!" You yell as you desperately try to reload the page. It's not working, you think, starting to panic. No, calm down. Tony can fix this.
"I can't fix this," said Tony.
"Oh come on! You're Tony Stark, you can fix anything!" You complain.
"Well I can't do this right now. I'm going out," He says stubbornly.
"Fine," you say. "But I expect you to fix it the moment you return. I can't live without my vines."
*Time Skip*
You have nothing to do, but stare at the falling snow, wishing that you were somewhere warm and sunny. It had been snowing constantly ever since Christmas, and you were ready for warmth. Pretty soon, you feel someone sit next to you on the couch. It's your boyfriend, Steve.
"Hello Y/N," he says seriously. "I would like to offer my condolences."
You turn and face him. "Condolences for what?"
"The death of the internet connection," he declares, breaking out into a smile.
"Steve," you groan, smacking his arm. "I thought something serious happened."
You sit together silently for a few more minutes until Steve turned to you. "So what do you want to do?"
"Sit here until the internet is back."
"Aww, come on Y/N," he says. "How about we go outside?"
"Outside?" You ask. "Why would you want to go out there? It's freezing."
"Please? We can go sledding."
"Steve...." You look into his bright blue eyes and melt. "Fine."
*Another Time Skip (TARDIS NOISE)*
"There is no way I'm going down that hill without dying."
You and Steve are standing at the top of a huge hill covered in snow. It didn't look that high when you were at the bottom, but now, you were facing death in the face.
"You won't die," Steve reassures you.
"No, I won't die, I'll just get seriously injured."
Against your better judgement, you get in the sled. This was definitely a bad idea. Taking a deep breath, you push yourself over the edge.
You shoot down the slope, screaming, and barely miss a tree. Snow is flying in your face, partially clouding your vision. Finally, after that heart-stopping ride, you come to a stop at the bottom.
"THAT WAS AWSOME!!!!" You scream, throwing your hands in the air. "TERRIFYING, BUT AWSOME!!!!!"
You grab your sled, before facing the hill that you had to walk back up. "Dammit," you mutter.
You and Steve sled all day, taking breaks for quick snowball fights. Damn, could that man throw a snowball. Must be from all that shield throwing.
Unfortunately, even good days have to end, and the sun started setting.
"There is only enough time for one more go," Steve notes, handing you the sled.
"Why don't we go down together?" You suggest, positioning the sled at the top of the hill."
Steve frowns. "Are you sure that would be safe?"
"Sure it is! My brother and I used to do it all the time. It's perfectly safe." Of course, you don't mention that the last time you went sledding with your brother was when you were kids.
Steve sits in the back of the sled, while you lean against him in the front. You flush a little at the feeling of your back against his toned stomach. Even after being in a steady relationship with him for four years, that man still makes you flustered.
Steve gives the two of you a starting push. It's harder to steer the sled with both of you in it, although you are trying your best. Desperately, you attempt to steer away from a deep groove in the ground, but instead manage to get it right in your path.
"BRACE YOURSELF!!!" You scream just as the sled hits the ditch. You and Steve are thrown into the air, before landing hard in the snow.
Steve immediately gets up and bends over you. "Y/N?" He asked anxiously. "Are you alright?"
"Course I'm alright, you big doofus," you say. "Takes more than a sled ride gone wrong to get me."
He pulls you up and dusts the snow off your coat. You catch his hand. "Leave it," you say softly. "It's just a little snow."
Steve looks so cute with the sunset behind him and snow in his hair, that you pull him down for a kiss. Your breath melts the snow on his red cheeks as you carefully kiss his cold nose also, for good measure.
He smiles down at you, before scooping you up bridal style. "Steve! What are you doing?"
"Just taking my snow princess home." He says, brushing some hair out of your face.
"But what about the sled?"
"We can get it later. When we come out sledding again."
"Sounds like a plan," you agree. "Let's go tomorrow."
Do you guys know how painful sledding can be sometimes? This is based off true events, even though I didn't have a super soldier to carry me home.
