Let's Talk Science (Bruce Banner)

You loved science. Ever since first grade, you were the one to score straight A's on every science test. This of course made you the nerd that nobody would hang out with unless they wanted help with homework.  It was okay though. Who needs friends when you have Netflix?

Entering collage, you had given up the science life to go into business. Your mom had told you that a woman like yourself had a much better chance of getting a job as a secretary that a scientist. 

You did end up getting a good job. Working as one of Tony Stark's personal secretaries was nothing to scoff at.  I mean, at least you had enough money to pay for your Netflix subscription.  But, did you really love doing this?

"Good morning Tony!" You chirp as you walk into his office. "I need you to-"

Pausing, you look around the empty office. "Jarvis, where's Tony?"

"In his workshop, Miss L/N."

"I should have known," you mumble, making your way to the workshop.

I hate high heels, you think grumpily as you walk down the several flights of stairs.

"Tony! You have to sign this," you say after spotting your boss.

"Ah, Y/N, just who I wanted to see," Tony says, walking over. "Did I ever introduce you to Dr. Banner?"

"No, I don't recall meeting him," you answer, brushing a stray piece of hair from your face.

"Well now is the perfect time!"

"Tony I don't think-"

Tony grabs your hand and pulls you over to a man in a white science coat. "Y/N, meet Bruce Banner."

Of course!  Bruce Banner!  How could you forget the name. He is one of your science idols and you follow his work very closely.

"Dr. Banner!  It's a pleasure to meet you!"  You shake his hand. "I'm a huge fan of your work."

He awkwardly adjusts his glasses. "Well, thanks, I-"

"Wait," Tony interrupts. "You follow science? I never would've guessed."

"Of course I do," you sigh. "Science was my first choice in college, but I didn't pursue it because my mother thought I wouldn't be able to get a job."

"Um, would you like to see some of my new experiments?" Bruce asks you, seeing your true love for science.

"That would be amazing!!" You gush, before blushing. "I mean, if it isn't too much trouble."

He blushes also. "Of course not."

"Wait," says Tony. "What is goin- OH." He smirks. "Y/N, I officially fire you."

"WHAT!!!"

"But I rehire you," he says hastily. "As Banner's personal assistant."

"Really?!?!" You both say simultaneously.

"Yup.  You start now," he says backing towards the door. "You two stay. Talk about....Science." He closes the door, leaving both of you in there alone.

"So, uh, science?" You ask awkwardly.

He smiles. "Science."

"I can sense the chemistry already!!!!" Tony yells.

"Shut up Tony!"

Maybe science can be our always.
