I woke up. It felt like It was probably twelve or one -something. Staring blankly at the ceiling, I found myself deep in thought. I was thinking about The last thing I thought would be on my mind in this entire planet..
_Miles_.
The way his face lit up when I made sarcastic comments, and showed signs that I wasn't interested. What if he was into me? Miles was actually adorable. His face still had a hint of baby fat but his cheekbones were perfect like Victoria Justice's... I slammed my palm down to my forehead.
If anything, Miles has had the biggest history with girls. Girls in college, even.
"Stop being an idiot." I mumbled to myself. Sitting up slowly, I glanced at my phone, scrolling through everything. Four missed texts, one being from an unknown number:
'hey gorgeous' it read.
'And who is this?' I replied having a small debate with my self over if that should have had a smiley.
'Guess?' they replied quickly. So it was a little play and tease they wanted. I really hated guessing.
'Josh, is this you baby?(;' I texted, trying to get them to reveal themselves.
'Josh!? This is Miles. -.-' He responded. I looked at my phone in frustration. He never would give up nomatter what. In a way, that was cute. Yet, it was still creepy how he managed to get my number. Then there was the realization that he probably talked to Tessa and she gave my number away like a free food sample.
I called him and he answered on the first ring. When he first spoke, the smile in his voice was obvious.
"Chellooo?" He asked slyly.
"How did you get my number?" I asked, getting straight to the point, not wanting to be on the phone with him any longer than I should.
"Whoa, whoa, sugar Schnookooms. I gave you mine, but I knew there was no way in hell that you'd actually text me. I only texted Tessa inviting her to the party tonight because I had forgot to do so to you guys yesterday." He said.
I stayed silent.
"So I hope to see you there, I won't ruin the surprise though considering she wants to tell you the theme. Okay, Schnookooms?" He asked. I blushed softly st the second time he called me his little nickname.
"Sure." I answered, acting as if everything he said hadn't affected me.
But it did.
"Well then, catch you later!" He added excitingly, "I really look forward to seeing you tonight."
With that I hung up, heading for the shower. Not before Tessa shooting me a text saying she'd be over to pick me up in an hour so we could go dress shopping. I looked at the clock at the upper right hand corner of my phone. It was only 12:17 we were going to be at the mall allday.
I groaned my way downstairs, checking in my little sisters room. She was asleep. Walking over to her bed I shook her lightly, adding more force to it everytime she rolled over ignoring me.
"Izzy, I know, you know, that I'm here." I said. She popped open one eye, revealing her caramel brown eye color and stuck her tongue out at me. I smiled lightly. She reminded me so much of my dad.
Her curly brown locks that sank down to her eyelids that brought out her almond shaped face. When she smiled, she showed off her three missing teeth in the front of her mouth. For a fourth grader, she was fairly tall. We lost our dad to a plane crash almost five full years ago. In the same year my dad died. A little later, after my father fatal death, my mother committed suicide out of her depression, leaving a letter full of "Im sorry's" and "I love you so much"'s I was only about eleven, so it left a bit of a mark on me.
"Get up, we have some shopping to do." I told her.
She emphasized how much she didn't want to get up by acting as if her blankets were a heavy weight that she couldn't lift off of her and that her body wasn't moving much. "Help." She said smiling up at me.
I laughed and threw the covers off of her and helped her out the bed. She stretched. "Can I eat first?" She asked.
"Just don't make a mess and make sure you eat quick then get dressed. I'll be in the shower, okay?"
"Okay" she said. running down the hall, her curls bouncing behind her on her neck.
I jogged up the stairs, and grabbed my towel and my shower materials. I turned the knob and stuck my hand under the faucet, waiting for the water to get hot. Once it did, I grabbed my toothbrush, put toothpaste on it and hopped in the shower, proceeding to brushing my teeth first then lathering my body in soap.
My mind started to wander off to Tyler. I remembered the jagged bite mark on his arm in I flinched at the thought. Maybe she was into the kinky stuff? I giggled at my own thought.
I thought about the book Twilight and Edward Cullen and the whole vampire clans and how when a person was bitten, a human to be exact, they would change into a vampire as well. My mind digested these thoughts and I dropped my wash cloth in realization of it all...
What if...
No. I thought. That was only in the non-fictional stories and they all were full of it.
Besides, maybe Tyler was lying. He'll probably show up at the party tonight. I lathered my hair in shampoo and rinsed it out, my bizarre thoughts going down the drain with the soap suds. I rinsed the rest of my body and stepped outside the shower, grabbing my towel and covering my body. I checked the time on my phone again and it was 12:42 Tessa was going to throw a fit if I wasn't ready.
I hurriedly took care of my hygiene and got dressed, not really caring what I put on. I stood in the mirror and put my hair into a messy bun. I looked at myself in satisfaction, in a way I thought I still looked pretty descent.
I grabbed my phone and shot a text to my Grandma, telling her that I was taking Izzy with me for the day and that I was leaving to a party later on tonight. She replied telling me she would be off work by then. I walked downstairs and saw my sister sitting Indian style on the living room floor watching Austin and Ally. She laughed. As soon as I thought about eating something, Tessa pulled into out driveway and honked her horn.
"Let's go." I told my little sister.
