We were limited to the amount of space in the room to move around in. Carson said we had to stay inside the room until I was ready to move out, or we'd raise suspicions and all of us would be killed.

I made it this far alive, I didn't want my streak to be cut short any time soon.

So far, I haven't seen the supernatural abilities that Ezra spoke of. Maybe his theory was wrong, maybe what he thought happened to me, will happen to someone else. There was a large knock on the door that made us all jump.

"Doctor Carson? May I come in?" I heard a familiar voice say.

That made us all jump. Carson and the others shuffled me back to the bed and hurriedly threw the blanket back over me.

"Just a second!" Carson yelled from behind the door, still moving everything in the room back to it's original place.

"Close your eyes, pretend to be in a coma or something!" Nadia hissed before her and Ezra went back to their original wall positions they were in when I woke up.

Carson glanced at the room, then us before he opened the door. I heard the door open, a few clunks of shoes to the floor, and the door shut. I felt a new presence inside the small room.

"I'm sorry to be disturbing your work it's just that we have a displaced person on the loose, and we were wondering if you heard anything out of ordinary, or if you may have seen someone, anyone out of place."

"I'm sorry, I don't think I have, Zeus.  If by heard anything out of ordinary, you meant the _zombies_ trying to get inside the building, then yes. But people? I'm afraid not."

I was impressed at how professional Carson had managed to sound through this conversation.

But _Zeus._ I knew his voice when I heard it. So if they had lost someone, the only person that Zeus would keep in his sight was Miles.

Did this mean that Miles had gotten away? Was he looking for me? My heart began to pound in my chest and the monitors hooked to my body went off in response.

I felt the attention turn on me. I tried to calm myself, but that became impossible as I felt someone near closer to me.

"Dearest Dorie." I heard Zeus say above me, his breath having a very unpleasant stench.

He rubbed his finger across my cheek and leaned down to breathe in my ear.

"Too bad that this is the part where we find your little boyfriend and kill him." He whispered.

That infuriated me. Reaching up in one swift motion, I brought my thumbs up to his eyes and pushed on his sockets as hard as I could. His scream sounded like sweet victory to me. Jumping out of the bed, I pounced on him like a lion on its prey, making him fall to the ground on his back. With my legs straddled around him, pinning him to the ground, I continued to push back his eyes, his blood squirting on my hands, Zeus screaming, trying to pry my hands away.

Sooner than later, Zeus's body went limp. I stood up straight and looked down at my first kill. The room was silent.

"Jesus, Dorie." Carson whispered.

"At Least now we know we know that one of your abilities is strength, right?" Ezra stated with a bland humor.

~ MILES POV ~

It felt like I had been walking in circles, everything looking the same. Every room I came upon was either empty, or closed off because of contamination.

There was one room i'd never forget.

It was a room full of dead bodies sprawled over operation tables and hospital beds. Each of their dry foreheads pierced with holes. I did a quick glance around just to be sure none of them belonged to Izzy or Dorie.

Nothing.

I heard a scream in the distance. This time, I was sure it was an actual person, and not my ear playing tricks on me. I ran towards the sound as fast as I could, clutching the crow bar I had found tightly in my hands, ready to hit whatever came into view.

I saw a cracked door at the end of the hallway and slowly approached it. I hid on the left side of the threshold, listening.

I heard her beautiful voice before I saw her beautiful face. She was talking to someone else in a hushed tone.

"At Least now we know we know that one of your abilities is strength, right?" A male voice said.

I heard Dorie sigh deeply. She had sighed so much recently, it was easy for me to identify it.

"_One_ of? You mean there could be more?" She asked.

"Well, typically there is about one or two. Your inhuman strength is obviously one that we need to get past security." The male spoke precisely.

"Ezra. What are you talking about?" I heard Dorie ask.

Ezra. I thought around to see if the name had rung any bells inside of my head, but it didn't.

Another voice had cut into the conversation, another male voice, making me more uncomfortable, jealous even.

"I think one problem we need to eliminate is Zeus here, when he wakes. If you know what I mean." He said.

Zeus. It didn't take me realize that he meant that they had killed Zeus. I was actually overjoyed, but angry that it wasn't me who had gotten the privilege of killing him. Had they gotten Armory and Blade too?

I didn't care.

I burst into the room and all heads in the room inclined towards me.

"I think I deserve the honor of putting Zeus into his eternal sleep."
